joining a meeting

i've been doing weightwatchers online for a week now, and throughly enjoying it and getting on ok with it so far.
however being in a new city, and not knowing anyone i thought a weightwatchers meeting would be a good opportunity for support and to meet new people.
What happens at a meeting?
Can i just turn up and join or do i need to let the leader know (if so how?)?
How much will it cost me (joining fee and weekly)?
do they accept cards? (debit) or is it just cash?
Thanks =]

You just turn up, and i think the monthly pass is the best offer. The monthly pass is £19.95/9 and you can go to any meeting aswell as get esource. If you have a voucher for signing up its free otherwise its £9 Weekly it costs £5.99 also with weekly i dont think you get esource. With monthly pass you pay your 1st month to your leader or pay online and print a card out then by direct debit and they send you your pass every month. But they take your 2nd months payment out after 2wks so you get your pass in time.
Some leaders have a card machine but not all.
Hope that made sense??

Just to add i did ww alone and now i go to meetings i find it much easier.
You get support from your leader and everyone else at the group. I think sometimes you need to talk face to face to, and everyone there is in the same boat:)
