Hey,

Well im back after a 3 week lapse! Im also 8 weeks pregnant :D

Hmmm now I know your not supposed to do WW while pregnant, I understand that but I am one of those that if i look at cake i gain 2lbs! .. I put weight on SOOOO easy its unbelievable!

In this preg i could easily put on 3/4 stone if i dont watch myself and that will NOT LOOK GOOD!.

Iv already spoke to my midwife about weigh gain and she said for my current weight/height as im already overweight I shouldnt aim to put on to much weight at all. I think she said a sensible gain over the whole preg is about 11lbs - 1 stone!

Which im happy with, but I dont want to put on a stone alone in the first tri, and that is were im heading!

I was thinking maybe it would be ok if I did WW, but maybe give myself a few extra points?

what does everyone think? I will enjoy this preg no matter what but i will enjoy it less if i put on a stupid amount of weight and have to lose it all after!

ohhhhhhhh huge congratulations hunni!!!!!!!!!

how many kids do you have already?

im not one to give out advice on not gaining preg weight really, my last pregnancy i had an 11lb 4oz daughter and gained 5st!!!!

good luck hunni xxxxxx

It will be my first! :) really excited! havent told anyone yet!

WOW - 11lb baby, bet she was gorgeous!

Yeah I put on weight really easy so thought i better at least try and get my butt in gear or i will end up putting on loads thats not wanted!

My mum put on a stupid amount of weight with me and said it was the worst thing she could of done, as she was just greedy!! lol

thank you as well xxx

I thought WeightWatchers was one of the schemes you could still do while pregnant. Don't they have special pregnancy diet plans? Obviously it's not a case of simply staying on the same number of points you were on in your non-pregnant state. It has to be adjusted.

Im pretty sure its one your not meant to do. I thought u get kicked out of group when you tell your leader.

Oh, well that's silly then. I would have thought having the support and reassurance of the WW group leader would have reduced the danger of women panicking about weight gain getting out of control and undereating. At the very least they can guide and encourage healthy eating of plenty of fruit and vegetables, and steer you away from junk food. I am not belittling anyone - obviously most of us know how to eat healthily - but just occasionally you get someone who is so terrified of coming off their diet that left without reinforcement and support from their weightloss group they could start to undereat rather than risk weight gain getting out of control

Very true, having a support of the group is much better then undereating.
I have cancelled my monthly plan with them and will only go to meeting til the 10th dec as thats when it runs out. After that I will be doing at home. I much perfer going to group to have some support but im 98% sure im not allowed.

No WW for pregnant ladies

Hi - it is correct that WW do not allow pregnant ladies to do the plan.

The only programme I am aware that allows this is Slimming World and they are backed by the Midwifery Foundation [ or something like that ]

Yours and your baby health are really important, so please check for professional advice.

They say that you dont need a lot of extra calories in first couple of Tri's but I am not expert so you need to seek the proper advice.

Congratulations and good luck.

Thank you ! :)

I knew that SW let you do it, I used to do SW but I kind of lost intrest. Thats why I joined WW. I may have to think about starting it again. I already know the consultant in my area. Even have her on FB! I think i may have a chat with her..

Yeah I *think* you dont actually need anymore cals in the first tri at all...

I think you only need more cals when you reach the 3rd tri. Something like 300 more though..

Huge congratulations!!

My advise would be not to follow ww but just to eat healthy and make sure your getting what you and baby need x

Thanks, I got my xmas meal tomorrow! so somehow i think im going to have another STS this week
