Tip for you for SW Wedges/chips

big bear

A bear on a mission!
I like to put spices (cajun, paprika etc) on my wedges/chips to give them flavour but I never managed to get the spice to cover the whole chip.

I had a bright idea & put all the spices in a freezer bag, put in the chips/wedges & shake it. It covers all of them & they taste delicious when they are cooked.

Ok I'm sure all of you do this already & I'm a bit slow on the uptake but thought I'd share it with you. I hope it helps someone lol

My new fave version is to cut new potatoes into quarters, fry frylight on, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and (it makes all the difference you know) a vegetable oxo cube. Spray again with frylight and bake. They're gorgeous!!

I can second the oxo thing. I do it now and they taste a million times better.

Thanks BB will be doing that tonight.

fab tip thankyou! x

Good idea! Well I must be slow too because I didn't even think of that! lol I will definitely try that next time..

Oxo cube.. different :) Think I'll try that too!

I like the chips but would be better with more flavour than just plain potato
:)

Yes - you have to do this with the Tefal Actifry too as otherwise the spices/flavouring can go all over the place.

Paprika works really well as you mentioned:)
