:109::party0036:

Im going to have Christmas day off and enjoy it, but every other day I will limit myself to 5 syns to make up for it, I will be happy with a small gain :)

Somehow I managed to post my reply as a new thread lol

I am planning to stick to it as much as possible. My downfall will be the dry white lol

For xmas eve my mum will be bringing gammon, so i will just have it with lots of veg and no potatoes. Xmas dinner I will do what I do on a sunday and have the meat and veg but no gravy or potatoes. I will make my own sausage and bacon so I'm ok there.

The buffet will be a bit of a nightmare, but my plan is to get as much low syn or syn free food as poss - I only do red days if anyone has any suggestions for the buffet food I would love to hear them!!

youve got to have a baileys whilst putting the kids stockings together its tradition lol

I'm planning on sticking to plan up to Christmas day but then I'm away visiting family and friends till after new year and am a wine lover...but not bothered about a 4lb weight gain as long as I get straight back on plan at the beginning of January...

I've decided to stick to plan, I want to get rid of this weight as soon as I can and I don't think I'll be missing out on anything by doing christmas the SW way!

Most of my syns over Christmas will probably be used on red wine, LOL! I'm not too bothered about mince pies, christmas pud etc. Have decided to make peppered beef and stuffed pork from the Christmas Made Extra Easy book, along with SW roasties and loads of veggies.

I'm also off to France between Christmas and New Year but will be self catering so hopefully shouldn't have too much trouble staying on plan.

I'm sticking to plan throughout...Might sound boring to some but (personally) I can't see the point of me changing the way I eat unless I do it properly.

Yes I love a Bailey's, minature chocs, mince pies et al but unless I have the spare sins, I won't be having them. The key for me is to stay focussed and never stop remembering all the reasons (of which there are many) why I wanted to lose weight in the first place. If I do say 'sod it, I'm having a week off' then I'm likely to have a gain that'll take me a month to lose. I can't imagine going to SW and dreading getting on the scales, it might even stop me wanting to go back at all.

I appreciate I'm very early on in my journey but I have to do this properly otherwise there's no point in me doing it at all.

I'm going to stay on plan, use a few flexi days and try to be as sensible as possible with the treats I have. My main worry is that I won't be in control of what's in the house as we're spending christmas at the OH's parents - they love their food so avoiding over-indulgence is going to be difficult! Any mention of diets and they think you're starving yourself so think I will take a big bag of SW friendly food so at least I can enjoy substitutions. Hopefully a few days climbing in the lakes post xmas will help work off the extra calories!

i am not going to over indulge but i doubt i will stick to it. might have a few drinks over xmas and chocolates. i intend to do my "food shop" as near to xmas eve as possible so that i dont have much in the way of temptation a week or 2 before xmas!

Well said! That's pretty much my view too!

I will be sticking to plan throughout as well. I know that when Christmas gets here I will have (fingers crossed) just about lost 1/2 stone and also just get into the 14st mark. The LAST thing I want to do is come back from Christmas and realise that I have to do that all again!!!!

I'm hoping that I will a lot more time to excercise as well and will be able to get out and do some running. You never know, I could be knocking on my 1 stone sticker when I go back to class

What a Christmas pressie. :xmastree:

I'm sticking to plan too. I dont like mince pies or Christmas puds so I'm going to keep my dessert low syn. I'm planning on allowing myself 5 extra syns on Christmas Day but stick to my normal 15 for every other day. Whether I stick to it or not remains to be seen but I really want to so fingers crossed

well i'll be mostly trying to stick to plan. have 3 nights of works meals/partys 20th, 21st and 22nd! so will stick to plan breakfast and lunch and for 2 of them i'll be driving so no alcohol then. and no money to buy many drinks anyway.
Thursday can be a 100% day lol
Xmas eve, Xmas day and boxing day will be mostly on plan, were ( mum, nan and aunt) are all on SW so will have most things cooked the SW way. with some added yummies like wine with dinner and proper xmas pud!
So will probably go over the syns but everything will be a low syn version, so damage limitation in progress,

New year will be harder as going to Hubbys familys, but i can have free access to the kitchen to cook what ever i want anyway, so will take my own fry light and low syn stuff etc.
Will be OFF OFF OFF plan from 6pm new years eve and will enjoy a good drink!
Its tradition to go to the chinese on new years day evening, so off plan there too, but will be good in between.

Im well under target atm, so have a lbs to play with!
