We have got a wii fit and im thinking of using it a few times a week. Does it really make a difference to weight loss? I know they say that every little bit adds up but do you notice a difference if you do/dont use it?

Apologies if this has already been dicscussed but Im a newbie! x

Thanks for asking this, sorry i cant be of much help though. But i was thinking of getting one so would be keen to c what others think!!

I've got one and when I first got it and used it all the time I used to come off it shattered but had lots of fun, my and my husband would be fighting over whose turn it was!
I think I made the mistake of then trying to do all the yoga everyday and 30 mins jogging on the freerun section a day which made it boring and I never had anytime for any of the fun stuff so I got bored of it and have stopped using it (I'm ashamed) lol
What kind of difference it makes to weight loss I'm not sure..... the 'fun' games don't burn many calories but I used to happily spend hours doing them.
I suppose what I would say is if you're a keen been exerciser anyway then it's unecessary but fun, so might be worth investing in if you can afford if you're more of a couch potatoe and can't be bothered the fact that it's games and can compete with yourself or others might give you the motivation to actually bother :0)

Id say if your going to be playing it instead of sitting on the sofa watching TV then yes it will make a difference.
But if you replacing the gym or something with wii fit then no, not really.

all exercise is going to be good for you - so even if you do just a little you will see a difference in your weight loss

Any kind of activity/exercise can only assist eight-loss. So, given that, it will of course help.

Personally, I have taken up walking and I find this works very well for me. I would do this in conjunction with a Wii & Wii Fit etc. but not just the games machine.

It is better than nothing though, even though I still see it as being a lump in front of the TV screen;)
