I just see a trailer for watchdog on bbc1 at 8 tonight and it said something about WW being on there
Just incase anyone is interested lol

You're going to have to let us know what it was about! I can't even get the bbc iplayer here in ROI :(

yep points wrong online sometimes too, and the propoints NOT being in this months magazine. And launching the new plan without enough calculators/ deluxe packs in groups! I know alot of women in my group were going to complain to weight watchers having just brought scales etc, then the diet changes and they can't use them for propoints.

ignore!

lmao! i didnt even see this! i went and posted another thread! im such an idiot!

Thought they'd have said more than that! It was about them selling the Discover plan up until the launch of the ProPoints plan....

The thing I dont get is diet plans change its a fact of life and people know this, noone made her buy those books, she bought them off her own back! if she is a cirrent WW meetings or Online member she would easily be able to work out the PP for the same recipes. I don't get the hoo ha!

You're right in saying noone made her buy them but at the same time she didn't know the entire plan was going to change. On here we heard a few whispers but there was nothing official from WW as such about it until such a short time before. I think it would have been more admirable for them to advertise clearly where the goods were being sold that in a few weeks they would only be usable for the Discover plan and no other plan that might come out...then they wouldn't have given it away but they would have at least given people more choice rather than going into it blindly.

If I had bought all that stuff I'd be gutted that it changed just a couple of weeks later lol.

Oh I totally get what your saying, I buy cookbooks regardless of whether they be weight watchers, slimming world (i love some of the recipes!!!) or non diet because I like the ideas or recipes. I would be miffed if I had bought it and it had changed, but the amount of times I have bought stuff and wasted it, doesnt fuss me anymore! It's not really a waste she still has some cracking recipes in the books!

It's like buying a dvd watching it once then the second part coming out and saying it was a waste of money, at the end of the day everything we buy either changes or goes out of fashion, it's a casualty of living in a fast paced society.

They should of been a bit more open with WWer's. It was wrong of them!

I didn't see this, I wonder if it's on iPlayer?

I agree that it was wrong of WW to sell electronic items without warning that they would be useless when the new plan came into effect, but at the same time common sense should have kicked in to wonder why WW was selling so much stock - and only that containing points values in some way - at half price.

For this very reason I only bought recipe books in the big sale (and one of those I won in the raffle) and a pedometer since I never worry about using them for pointing. I would have loved a new set of scales but it was plain to me that it would be potentially a silly move.

Snozzberry it literally was about 60 seconds long if that lol, all it said was that WW had sold Discover plan things and showed a woman that had spent £200 on things to then learn the plan was changing. I thought it was going to be a really in depth thing about it, unfortunately not lol. Should be on the iplayer I'd imagine.
