Is there a list of foods for new Propoints? & target weight help

Hi guys

My mom is with WW and struggling with the new PP.

My mom has bought the calculator but is there a basic food list of the new points that I could print for her?

Another question is that my friend is on WW and wants her target weight to be more than what WW are saying she should be. Can you do this because if she were to get to the target ww are saying she would look really dreadful (she has lost 3 stone)

Thank you in advance :)

My hubbies target weight according to WW is around 11 stone.

He can't ever imagine being that small, so at the moment he is aiming for 14 stone and seeing where he goes from there.

Its what ever you feel comfortable with, as all our body shapes are different. Take my hubby for instance, he has had a flat stomach in the past but never been very skinny, and personally I'd be more then happy with him being 13-14 stone.

Its what ever makes your friend happy thats important, no use trying to kill yourself to reach a target you might never reach, or may feel to skinny at..

Hi
If your mum went to a ww meeting then she should have the blur folder with lots if food pp list also she can use her calculator to work out packaged foods. Esourve is good if she has a monthly pass.
With practice o hope your mum gets used to pp as all new things are confusing at first.

Your friend this is always daunting at first as 3 stone sounds alot and people think they will look I'll at their healthy weight but we rarely do. My leader didn't give me a goal weight just 5% .10% I know what I'd like to be but I'm taking it a stone at a time. I had 7st 8lbs to my bmi 24.9 top healthy weight and that's 9st 10lbs from 17st 4lbs people day to me now when I say I've 4 stone left to lose where from? But look around size 10 women dint look ill and they are in healthy weight range.
Maybe it's the daunting size of the amount your friend is having a hard time to deal with, I'm
not sure on ww rules for gild members goal weights but I doubt it's too low I think it's bmi 24.9. I am a size 16 and 13st 6 so losing another 4 stone I'll probably be a size 8 but I exercise slot so may not get down to bmi 24.9 so will talk to my leader nearer the goal.
How much dies your friend weigh how tall is she and what has her leader told her she need to be for goal?xx

Hi how tall is your husband? What would his bmi be at 11stone?
I do think it depends on how much muscle we have with bmi, I think ww should change goal by measurements ie waist that goal is a certain number from and too. I know people who weigh the same as me and same height but bigger clothes size/ waist measurement so bmi isn't a good guide ing with new pp they should do new goal instead of weight, ww are pushing exercise so more we do more inches we lose hence lower body fat : healthy?

I'd love to be 8st 4 but I'll never be that again *sobs* ;) xx

Wow quick response thanks all!

I am not sure how much my friend weighs, i will have to ask her, but all I know is she def doesn't want to lose much more. I suppose she will have to leave WW instead of keep paying.

Thank you for the link, is that the new Propoints list then?

xx

He's 5ft 8" but as I said he has always been well built

Just checked on BHF site, and for 11 stone 13 he would have a BMI of 25.

Only time will tell what weight he stays at, all depends on how he feels and what he thinks of himself at a certain size..

Also when people get to thin I wonder if its harder to maintain that weight?

My guy is a builder us 5ft 10 and weighs 10st 10 and looks normally healthy, he has alot if muscle tone and if he was 13 stone he's look really big just as I'm
used to him being the size he is. That's what it is, it's what we are used to seeing and if he got to 11 stone after 6 months you'd be used to it. My mum lost 4 stone on ww 3 years ago got to 8st 10 and at first I thought she looked gaunt but after a few weeks I got used to it sadly she regained it all.

Look at phil on here he's lost loads really quick and is slim now I'm not sure of his bmi be interesting to see x

My friends doctor has even said that she doesn't have to go as low as WW want. Do you think if she got a doctors note that would help?

Weight watchers can only accept goals within the BMI 20-25 range. There's a handy list on the WW website that lists how much someone should weight at a certain height to be within these two brackets. The BMI 20-25 is a very wide spread, and I have yet to find anyone who is at BMI 25 and look deprived! Of course, if you have a lot, a lot of muscles (e.g. if you're a body builder) then it's acceptable to be over that weight, because even if you're a BMI 26 or 27, it's all muscle mass and you can't lose more fat. However, for the average person, the limit of BMI 20-25 is right.

Just imagine that in India the new standard requires people to be with a BMI between 18.5 and 22.9 to be healthy. Anybody between 23 and 25 is "overweight" and anybody over 25 is OBESE. Indian people have a built a bit smaller than English people though, and this is probably why. I can assure you that the BMI 25 limit is absolutely fine. I'm Italian, and small built. I always thought I was big boned and that I would never have been able to wear anything smaller than a size 12 because my hip-bones were too large. Well... I now wear a size SIX, and my hips are perfectly fitting into it! I also discovered that I'm small framed rather than what I thought to be. And if you look at my pictures, you'll see that I don't look deprived, even if I'm 5'2.5 and weight now 8 st 1, which is nearing the LOWER end of the BMI scale.

Now, everyone have got their own weight they're happy and comfortable with, but the BMI = 25 limit is recommended by the NHS, not just by Weight Watchers!
