putting mint leaves or cucumber in water?? struggling to drink enough

miss-r

I can do it!!
I am finding it hard to drink enough water. When I drink lots its making me feel extra cold in a way, although I know its good for me.
I am drinking less sparkling water now too, I guess its the cold weather.

I have read something somewhere about putting mint leaves or slices of cucumber in water and letting it steep and then drinking that, has anyone tried either of those??
I would try that now but I don't have any cuc or mint here.

I am struggling to drink enough water and would really appreciate, any suggestions of CD friendly drinks hot or cold or recommendations of teabags I could have?

I have not seen a comprehensive list anywhere of what drinks we could have. (know it would be limited but there is lots we can have)

Thanks alot!! :)

I make up about 200mls of really strong peppermint tea (using about 3 teabags) and let it cool and then use that to flavour my water. I really like it and it makes a change to the plain water. I did get the flavouring but find it really artificial tasting.

I also make all my shakes up to 500mls (either with hot water or ice and coffee for added "depth") so that's another way to get 3/4 litre into you.

have you tried the water flavourings ?? I struggle to drink even a litre of plain water , but manage a good 3-3.5 when I use the orange flavour :) I tried the peppermint tea , but didnt like it so use the flavours . I used them from day 1 and never have a problem , although they dont recommend them till week 2-3 , I think that if it helps you drink more water its worth the risk

Hi Hon, I also use the water flavouring ( Summer Berry), but I drink Rooibos tea, which is South African herbal tea. I've been drinking it more and more lately because it warms me up and counts towards our water intake. Yummy. :) (ps, you can buy it as most Tescos and Holland and Barratts.) x

Thanks alot, I am going to try all of those suggestions!

I am doing better today, well i'm drinking more so hopefully that will stop me wavering from CD. (I had a blip first thing today, before I had any drinks, but i'm trying extra hard now)
I am having a big cup of tea right now, and will get another drink in a bit :)
