Going out for lunch really sucks up your points!!

I went for lunch today with dh and the kids. We went to the harvester as it's pretty much the healthy option nut I've still come away 20 points down without having pud or booze!
(simply chicken with jacket spud and salad cart with some dressing)
When I take off my 3 points for milk for my coffees that's only 6 left for the entire day!

I know that's what the weekly points are for but I feel a bit like the days of family lunches (while it's too cold for picnics) are just about over.

Am I being over dramatic???

I wouldnt say over dramatic as in you head you think that is a lot of points. But as you said thats what the weekly points are there for and plus 20 points was a hell of a lot on the old plan and I think thats the thing me and plenty others need to get out of our head that 20 points would be loads of points on the old plan (even someones whole day) but on this one where the flexibility is far greater its not that much. If you understand me lol I jabber on a lot ;) !

I suppose it's because I was hoping to get a bit further than day 2 before needing extra points.

I think the 6 point mushroom chow mein is still playing on my mind!
6 points on a naughty take away or 20 points on a healthy lunch??

I only lasted a day on pro points :-(( As a veggie the plan is even worse on propoints value, so I know what you mean regarding choosing "healthy options"

I couldn't handle going over by 10 PP just on a normal days healthy eating.

Back to the old core plan for me!!!

Good luck xx

The core plan? Are you following that one? How old is that one now

Still have the books and lost 8 stone on it, put a bit back on now though:mad:

Was hoping that the new plan would motivate me but, alas no:sigh: so back to the tried and tested for me.

Good luck :)

Not sure, but i think that it started in 2005 when it was "no count" when you could choose to do a week of either "no count" or points then it changed to core then simply filling.
Even the propoints now has a "no tracking" option but WW don't really promote it.
I got soooo obsessed with point counting that it did my head it, so no count was fab :))

HTH xx

Ive not had a problem so far with being a veggie on propoints, infact i find it really good.
There are a few things that I would like to be lower in points but thats just life!
