SHOCK - PP's in food that was free before!!

Just discovered that there are pp's in curry powder, stock cubes and egg whites. Don't make the mistake I've made. Had egg white omelettes, soup is not free (unless you only use oxo) and I made a big pot of quorn curry to discover there are 3 pp's for 3 tablespoons of curry powder!!!

My curry sauce used to be free but is now 4 pp's (1 pp for veg stock pot and 3 pp's for 3 tblsp curry powder)

I made soup using knorr stock pots and they are 1 pp each.

Is there anything else we need to know about before any of us make any more mistakes??

Ignore what I said about Frylight, I was wrong ;)

Don't forget though, if you used 1 stock pot for 1 pan of soup, with heaps of zero point veg, it'll work out at zero point soup still if you get 2 or more bowls from it...? :)

Sugar free jelly ready to eat pot - free if you have 1 pot but if you have 2 it's 1pp........eek!!

Fry Light - 4 sprays is 1pp

I use lots of frylight, oh no!!
I suppose I can count the stock into one days eating and that is the whole pot accounted for

Points in curry powder????? What???????

Points in curry powder????? What???????

Yep, any more than a pinch needs to be counted. I checked e source as I remember the packs saying to count spices, so 1 tablespoon of paprika, curry powder or believe it or not, cumin is worse at 2 pp's per tablespoon!!

That just seems crazy??? What on earth is the nutritional breakdown where they got that from??
I thought spices actually helped weight loss??

I use them a lot for flavour, rubs etc. Going to think twice now as every point is precious.

I'm just wondering what else is lurking about that we thought was free but isn't

Phew Jen, you had me going there lol

Stock cubes are free, and so is frylight unless you use alot of it. I just count it as free anyway as I always have done. its no diffrent to what it was before wheere if you used alot it was points, same with vegetables. One portion is meant to be free but 2 portions should be counted but no one ever does. it just seems higher now there are no half points.
I think if you stop losing for no reason that those are things you can adjust but in general i cant see how it would make that much diffrence when you are only using about 20 cals of frylight anyway but a can of tomatoes is free but its more than that in calories. hmm

1 stock cube/stockpot is 1 pro point unless it's oxo, they are not free. This eating plan has completely changed.

Egg whites are not free either, so over 1 day you can be adding more points and not realise it never mind a weeks worth.

Just beware of the hidden points

In the shopping guide it says oxo cubes all are free, as are knorr stock cubes, all flavours= 0 points

Here is another problem highlighted. E source and books are different. I read in another thread about the eating out books and another book there were dramatic differences there too. I think ww'ers need to get this sorted as we are being told different point values for the same things.

I always use e source I've got to admit and go by the point value on that.

I suppose it's a personal choice what you want to use, but I am going to count eggs, stock, spices and whatever else I find to be no longer point free.

This plan is confusing enough without ww'ers adding to it xx

e source is notorious for being wrong as is the guides. just do what you think is right ! :)

I know people that give up on e-source because it is wrong so often.
