Deep fried food question?

Hey everyone

I want to know how many old points would it be to have a 225g potato (cut into chips) deep fried in oil be. Actually anything deep fried such as chicken nuggets, fish fingers

I am a little confused on how someone could work this out as the amount of oil used and how much would actually go into and on the chips. Hope this makes sense

Hope someone can help as iam craving for home made chips deep fried but don't want to get the points wrong

You know I have stayed clear as I just didn't know how many points it could be.
But then I looked at the eating out guide and a portion of chips is 7 points how can Ww work that out as its all deep fried?

i would keep well clear too
i know ww say a portion of chips being 7 but that can only be an estimate as it will differ depending on the size of the portion how thick the chips are and how they are cooked.
i personaly am terrified of eating anything that i dont know the exact point value,

Haha you made me think for a minute.

I always stay clear of something I don't know but I jus wanted a official answer with chips lolll x x x

Personally I'd get yourself a jacket potato (weigh it and point as new raw potato) and nuke it in the microwave for 5 minutes.

When done, chop up with a knife. Don't worry about it falling apart as that all adds to texture.

Throw it in a roasting pan/baking tray that's been fry-light'd and pop some frylight over the chips with some salt or paprika or whatever you'd like and cook on 200c until nicely done.

They're soooo yummy and crispy!

All point queries should be posted in the Points query section
