OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE!!!

FELT S UNWELL that hubby slapped a plate of noodles, crispy beef in front of me and i ate it!!!. now i feel so guilty and peed off:cry:

forget it - its done you can't change it so don't beat yourself up, pick it back up tomorrow and start again xxxx

Hey honey

Just some tips to help

Go Ahead and Vent!

Give yourself 10 minutes to vent about your setback. Set a timer to make certain you don’t get carried away, and then use this time to whine about why you can’t eat whatever you want. Complain about how much you hate to exercise. Blame your mother and rave on about why it is not your fault that you like ice cream. Give voice to everything you are feeling and thinking – expressing anything that might be contaminating your brain. But when the 10 minutes are up and the timer goes off, stop venting and move on.

Focus on Facts, Not Faults

Writing a clear and objective description of what you ate during a binge can help you put an end to the blame game. Try to focus only on what you ate and not how you felt about what you ate. Focusing too intently on our feelings can sometimes interfere with out ability to move forward, because they can distort our objectivity. A written description can serve as a window through which we can assess our behavior without making judgments about ourselves. When we can begin to make distinctions between who we are and what and how much we eat, binges will lose their power to derail our weight loss and healthy living goals.

Reframe Your Binge

Reframing or putting a positive spin on your overeating incident doesn’t mean that you don’t accept responsibility for your actions. It means that you look at the experience with a positive, constructive attitude. For instance, rather than telling yourself that you have lost your way, reframe the incident by telling yourself that you merely took a detour. Remind yourself that no matter how much you ate, your binge did not cause the world to stop spinning. Life will go on, and so will your journey toward weight loss and healthy living.

Also have a chat with your hubby and explain to him how important it is that he doesn't encourage you to eat on this plan. Explain that you need to get throught the initial few days which like any new health plan can be challenging but that his support will be invaluable and that in future he could maybe run you a nice bath or suggest a walk (weather/kids permitting) or give you a foot massage. CD is a long journey and your OH needs you to explain how to make you feel better when you are struggling.

aw hunnie, tommorow is a new day, and the chinese will be in the past. start a fresh in the morning and with a huge smile and positive thoughts of "im going to do this" you feel guilty now but take something positive from that feeling and remember how much you want this! dont make 1 chinese another and another. you can do it!!
:)

*hugs*

Oh Hun it is a blip. You've done it now so try and hang on to how you feel now the next time your are tempted. I know the diet is hard but the rewards are so worth it if you stick with it. Tomorrow is another day and all that - you can do this lovely xx

Goreygirl you are so wise and give amazing advice :)

It's just a blip everyone has them! Tomorrow is a new day so fresh start!

Aw, don't be too hard on yourself (or your husband :)). These things happen. Everyone here, especially GG, has given you some fab advice. Draw a line under what you had, act as though it never happened, and you'll still lose weight in time for your weigh-in.

The problem with dieting and OHs is that they're used to being able to cheer us up with food, LOL. They know it usually works. :D And it kind of does - for about ten minutes.

Chin up, babe. All is definitely not lost! {{hugs}}

Michelle, that amount of times I have blipped is untrue. If you want to meet a serial blipper, come see me. I am the worlds worst

hugs hun, put it behind you and don't let it get you down.

I keep cheatine but luckily with tins of tuna and chicken breast. Afterwards I feel like I've ate a 3 course meal lol, dont get down about it we all have our ups and downs. We CAN get there in the end blips and all!!! xoxo

morning michele, just want to say that i hope your feeling better today and the days goes well for you :) x

Michelle,

I did the same thing last Friday and had a pizza, i thought that by cutting my shakes down to 3 a day(meant to have 4 because of my height) that i would be ok for my weigh in.

I have just come back and put 1lb on, my advice is dont do what i did and start a fresh and dont think about it, whats done is done.
