Sandra's week 10 weigh-in....

Yippee, lost 4lbs this week!!!! Makes up for the crappy 1lb last week. Extra specially pleased cos obviously I had two 'meals' (protein and salad) and two glasses of wine whilst in London at the weekend and I also 'confess' to a couple of scrambled eggs last night cos of pain issues (can't take the extra strength meds without proper food - tried it once and became very ill). Going to officially start refeed next week which will be two weeks to my op but might have more protein this week depending upon how I feel.

Am now most definitely a size 12 but still have a little bulge above my hysterectomy scar, don't know if it's fat or if perhaps I never did my exercises properly back in 2005! Otherwise I'm actually quite happy with the way that I look in clothes but a bikini would be another matter altogether! As I don't need to actually wear a bikini (no sunshine holidays planned) I'll worry about that when I need to.:D

Still need to lose 22lbs to get to my planned target of 10st but clearly not going to get there by the op.......re-think necessary:(

I feel like I've come a long way in the past 10 weeks.....will post more to my Blog

Well done hunni.. That is absolutely fantastic, and well deserved x x x

When are you refeeding for your op?

Thanks Su, just been looking at a doctor's website about BMI according to which as I'm over 35 (considerably over as you well know!) I'm now a healthy BMI - how good is that??????

Well......officially I'm doing another week of tfr cos I've got about 30 odd Exante meal replacements left. My op is 3 weeks tomorrow so I figure that I'll start refeeding next Thursday at the latest as I want to do it very slowly. I had scrambled eggs again last night, as I was in serious pain again, which enabled me to take the pills. It's a bit of a vicious circle cos if I'm really in pain I feel really low and want to eat anyway, but if I have the eggs and the pills then I feel so much better - does that make sense? The doctor said to get lots of protein on board so I'm seriously considering having the odd protein meal even during the course of this week. Have to face facts that I'm not going to get to target until after I've recovered from the op but if I can sts then I'll be more than happy. Don't know if I'll do LT again though, if it's only a matter of a stone or so then I'll revert to WW.

Can't believe how long we've been at this can you? x

Thanks to this forum (and you specifically) the time has flown by, although i must admit it is getting harder now.. I want to eat again, but know that i am not mentally ready for it, and i will slide backwards.

It is such a shame that you are in so much pain, but looking forward it is only a matter of weeks and it will be better for you .. Eating sensibly, as you have been, certainly does not seem to be having a negative effect on your weekly losses, so if it helps with your medication, go for it hun x x

Please make sure you let me know (either through here or facebook) how you are getting on, and what you decide to do diet-wise x x x x

I know, I couldn't have done it without you either! But it is such a long time......I don't know how people like Emma and Daisy have stuck it out......can you manage until Xmas refeed?

The pain is a problem but some days it's not too bad, I can live with it and at least there is an end in sight.

I won't be going anywhere! I reckon that I will still keep on here cos I love the people and want to know how they're doing. I also think that it will be good to keep posting my weight every week. Plus I want to know how people fare over Christmas.......can't begin to imagine starting over again.

So for today anyway it's probably going to be tfr all the way........going to have a soak in the bath now - that always helps xx

Sandra you are amazing. After going away for the weekend and everything you still lost 4lbs. Well done, it is a great sign for you of how you can eat and still lose weight, hopefully it will continue after your op and you can get to goal. The main part is done though, you're happy with your figure and you feel comfortable :) Enjoy your bath x

Well done Sandra !! really pleased for you babes xxxx

Yay, well done Sandra! :D Fantastic 4lb off and fantastic BMI too. Very well done indeed :D I think you have a sensible plan in place now for re-feed and any protein this week. Good luck hun :) I think you'll be just fine ;) xx

Thanks Jayne, still not sure what sort of food plan I'm going to follow though....I know that I won't have too much choice in hospital but that's only 5 or 6 days. I still want to lose the rest......oh and Paul will probably be doing the shopping for the first couple of weeks so it could be disasterous!

I've not looked into the new WW programme, but have always been a fan of Slimming World as you can have 'free food' choices and of course make them low carb if you want. Make sure Paul leaves with strict shopping lists! :) xx

C'mon Jayne, a man follow a shopping list........no, he'll go into M&S (doubt that he'll tackle the ordinary supermarket) and just wander up and down the aisles picking up whatever takes his fancy. Unless, of course, he does his usual trick which is phone me up and ask "do I like this?"....I kid you not!

yeah good luck with that my hubby never been shopping by himself ha ha dont trust him not even wiyh a list i did him 2 seperate lists for argos when it was 3 for 2 as i would save £35 on 1 and £20 on the other instead he put it all together and i got 2 cheapest free wasnt happy

have given up on trying to teach him to use the washer and dryer.......totally beyond him! Weird though as our house is jam-packed with every boy-toy known to man

Well done Sandra on 4lbs loss this week. Fantastic. You're approach to restaurant eating is the approach I'm going to have to adopt when I come off LT. Lo Carb, high protein, salad - very good choices. Well done!
