It is true I do. I love T.V. I love the variety, films, documentaries, soaps, reality shows, games, sport, cookery etc. etc. You name it it is there.

It must be the cheapest, most complete entertainment there is and all in the comfort of your own home.

At £142.50 a year that works out at less than £3 a week. Less than 50 pence a day. What amazing value for money that is. Remind me I said that when we return to the U.K. and have to pay it. At present we pick it up via satellite so no fee as we are out of the U.K.

I realise that is only for the BBC and that all other channels are self funding i.e. adverts.

If you want to subscribe to the pay channels fine, that is your choice. Personally we are happy with ITV the BBC and all the free to view channels.

What else can you get that gives you so much choice and freedom for less than 50p a day, with something for everyone.

Do you work for the TV licensing agency? :hide:

LOL !!!! N o . I really do think it is excellent value for money.

Is this right? You get BBC channels for free in Spain but have to pay £142.50 for them when you live in the UK?

Strictly speaking we are not supposed to get it here but with a large satellite dish we can pick it up. Where we live we lose the signal in the evening at about 8.30 p.m.

I would happily pay for it if it meant a more reliable signal.
