Just had my week 5 Wi and lost 3lb, Feeling a little bit disappointed I was really hoping to get rid of the 2st, but never mind that should come next week or maybe not.

I'm going for a family meal next Sunday evening that has been booked for ages and I really can't let everyone down, I just hope it won't hinder my loss next week to much.

Has anyone got any tips for me?

Well done on the loss Bev.. As you told me... 3lbs is fantastic!! lol (but it truly is)
You had the same hope as me, to lose that extra 1lb to round up to the next stone... And neither of us managed it!! lol................ But we will next week!!

The only thing i can suggest is stick to proteins and small portions to minimise the risk of coming out of ketosis.. I know it may not be what you want to do, but is there any way you could have your shake/crapjack and drink water (sparkling even) so that you stay on track? I know a lot of people on here have done that at social occasions (not me cos i am an unsociable b!tch! lol)

I ate out at the weekend, I found it quite easy to stick to protein and the restaurant was very accomodating when I asked if I could pass on the chips and veggies (I was worried that there would be too many carbs in them) and had a salad instead. Can you get a copy of the menu beforehand? that's what I did so I could plan ahead and decide what I was going to eat.....if it's any consolation I was so full after just a small chicken breast and it took ages to eat! I was worried that once I started eating that I wouldn't be able to stop but it wasn't like that at all! Just concentrate on the lovely flavours and textures and not the amount on your plate.

good luck:D

Thanks Su, I'll keep that in mind for when we go out but I'm so looking forward to a vodka and tonic! I won't be drinking shakes, because I had a week away with the family, stuck to it 100% so I've been looking forward to this night out for weeks.

Is sticking to protein the best thing I could do then?

Bev post some of the menu options on here if you like and we can help you decide what to have!

Dont post the wine list!! or Sandra and I may just end up down the off-licence !! pmsl xx

Yes the menu would be good. I could order a virtual meal and eat it with without consuming any calories. A bit voyeuristic just like watching cooking tv shows I seem to have become addicted since starting this diet. :)
