Newbie saying hello!

Passiflora

Dasvidaniya FAT & FLAB!!
Hi everyone!

So pleased to have come across this site and I think I am beginning to bore everyone with my dieting talk! I hope I don't bore you all too!

After feeling rather low recently, I went along to the GP, who has prescribed with Xenical and also put me on the doctors "Weigh-2-go" scheme, which includes one-2-one with dieticians and group support once a week, together with the "healthy lifestyle" referral which is at the small local gym.

I have been on Xenical in the past so am aware of the downsides, but also aware of how great it can be! I lost a lot of weight, but unfortunately, I put this back on over a period years. Since being back on the tablets this past month, my confidence has grown, so much so that I have attended four Zumba classes, which isn't bad for me considering that I am conscious of being the "biggest" there, which I am, but this time, this doesn't bother me, because I'm hoping that I won't always be!!

I have my gym induction this evening, and whilst I am happy to do the Zumba classes and hide in amongst everyone, I'm worried that tonight, it's going to be all about me!

I have my first weigh in with the doctors on Wednesday morning, so fingers crossed it is good news and the net diet regime and also my new exercise regime will pay dividends and I will waltz out the doctors, instead of trudging in as I did four weeks ago.

Looking forward to getting to know you all! :)

xx

Hello

I am new too. I have my appointment on wednesday to get Xenical. My GP recommended it but it has to be done through our Nurse Practioner.

I have problems with confidance due to my weight but am hoping once i start to loose i will have the courage to start to go to a gym and maybe swimming. In the meantime it is power walks and me and my Wii for now for exercise.

Hi Passiflora and welcome to the Xenical forum, good luck with your gym induction tonight and good luck on your weight loss journey
xx

Hi Vicky

All the best for Wednesday! Let us know how you get on. xx

I've found that this time with Xenical, (the firm I work for has moved premises) that I am more frightened/embarrassed as to what can happen, and seeing that our ladies toilets are three fairly open cubicles, this has really helped with the food I eat for breakfast and lunch. This month I have "survived" of a packet of Brevita's for breakfast and crackers and cottage cheese for lunch. I'm not yet bored of it, but as I'm not "suffering" at work, I'm going to keep having them as long as I can!

Luckily, the gym is only a very small one and when I had a quick peek last week, there was only two people in there, and I think I can cope with that amount. I'm just glad it's not a large gym filled with lycra clad men and ladies!

What do you use on the Wii, is it just the ones on the Wiif fit? I'm wanting to get the Just Dance/Dance on Broadway ones shortly, just so that there is some music on at the same time!

Thank you alibalibee! I'll let you know how I get on - hopefully I won't be coming back of tales of how I fell off the treadmill!!

BTW Well done on your weightloss - you look fab!! I've not got the nerve to pics up yet!

You'll do fine :D When I had my gym induction I was over 20st and dreaded it. Shouldn't have worried, folks that were big like me, were concentrating solely on their own workouts to see what a heffalump I looked like, and the *beautiful* people were too busy checking themselves out in the mirrors while walking at 1.5 mph on a treadmill to see what a heffalump I was ;):D

Hey passiflora! Sorry I'm a bit late to reply but welcome!! Good luck!

How did it go at the gym?:) xxxx

welcome to xenical and wishing you lots of luck!
