Lunch ideas for the office?

HI I have just started weight watchers. The problem is that at my office there are no cooking facilities only boiling water. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could have. I can only think of mug shots but they are 3 1/2 points and I only have an allowance of 16?

Hi!

First of all, check your Points allowance, which is incorrect. The new plan has changed all the math, but I don't think 16 is right on the old plan. (I'll use the "old plan" for this post, to make it easy on the OP)

WW is all about eating real food whenever possible. For the same 3.5 Points, you could have a sandwich with some lean turkey breast, Dijon mustard, lettuce, pickles and tomato slices on a Weight Watchers tortilla. The sodium count will be less, the nutrition will be better and you'll be full for longer. Throw in a handful of baby carrots and some red pepper strips, add an apple and you've got a really satisfying lunch.

If you have a wide-mouthed Thermos at home, you can bring your own food without needing to nuke it. Or maybe some kind soul in the office is upgrading their microwave at home and will bring their old one in. It doesn't hurt to ask, and that's how we get all our cooking equipment at work!

I have the same problem, it's so hard to make an imaginative packed lunch! Do you like cous-cous? if so you could boil up some water, pour it on the cous cous, season with herbs/spices and throw in a bit of chopped veg etc. Maybe a bit of cold lean meat as well
