Getting Married 2012
Hi all hope you have all had a good weekend!

I had a slip up at the weekend but been back on plan for two days and have a few questions

I asked my CDC if I could eat chicken and if it would take me out of ketosis . Her answer was yes and I wouldn't loose any weight - Is this right?

Is a sign of ketosis being cold?

What happens if u only have 3 out of the 4 shakes a day?

Thanks everyone

Hey there

I asked my CDC if I could eat chicken and if it would take me out of ketosis . Her answer was yes and I wouldn't loose any weight - Is this right? On SS+ and all plans above you are allowed 120g of chicken without the skin (or more depending on the plan) as part of the plan. It will increase your calorie intake but you are still within the class "VLCD" so still lose weight so not sure why she is saying this to you? It's better not to get into the mentality of "cheating" but if you can't manage without some food SS+ or 810 is often a good alternative and you still stay in ketosis and lose weight fast in a similar way to SS. Did your CDC not give you your booklet about the plans? If not she should have done (although you can also get them off the website I think). Might be a good idea to arm yourself with the facts and then ask her why she said what she did.

Is a sign of ketosis being cold? Yes, for many people they say they feel the cold more when first going into ketosis. I know I did and I seem to wear a hoodie around the house more than I would have before.... but then again that could just be the cold weather ;-)

What happens if u only have 3 out of the 4 shakes a day? You may make yourself ill as you are not getting the nutritional basics your body needs ( I presume you are over 5'8 and this is why you are on 4 not 3 shakes?)

Hope that helps?

I am on SS+ and have a chicken and veg meal every night. My CDC told me that there's not many lb's difference of weight loss per month at all and you don't feel as you're missing out as much. I'm so glad I chose to do SS+ because I wouldn't have stuck to it otherwise! Everyone is different! I'm not sure if I'm in ketosis yet though...
