Never felt so ill in my life, silver lining?

Hi all
I have had the worst few days health wise in a long time.
It started off with a headache on Thursday and developed into what I thought was a migrane/brain tumour (ok so slight eczaggeration) by Saturday.
I had to get the doc to do a home visit twice as I could barely see, it was awful, it also meant that I have not eaten since Thursday night as I couldn't even keep fluids down.
I did force myself to eat 1 weetabix this morning.
Anyway, just went on the scales as I can feel in myself that I have lost weight, but Jesus, never did I think 10lb since Monday

I joined up to lifeline online on Thursday so weightloss since then is the 6lb.

Do you think once I start eating again it will pile back on even though I am going to follow the plan? as you know what they say about the body storing stuff when it hasn't had anything for a while.

I'm feeling alot better today, I can't even think about how many different painkillers I went through, it was truly horrendus, and I have had a 6 year old and 19 month old to look after too, never again do I want to feel like that! :(

I felt like that the other week, went to see my doc who gave me 2 types of pills and then they made me feel as if i was drunk, being sick included :( Its only the second time i've had a migrane and my 3yr old was brilliant, got my pj's for me as i crawled up stairs :giggle:

When you start eating properly again your body will adjust to it again. i wouldnt worry about gaining, just that your getting better and back into it!

When I was quite ill earlier in the year, I lost loads to start with, then put it all back on again once I felt better. It took a while to get back on track again.

This can't be helped. Illness plays havoc with your system, and you just have to be patient until things settle down. The most important thing is to do whatever it takes to get better.

I agree. I've been ill with a dodgy tum for over a week now. Its not pleasant but the diet will have to wait til I'm better.

As for your symptoms OP, I agree that its unlikely to be SW related.

Take it easy.

Don't worry about the gain if it does happen. Your health is more important than weight loss via ill health.

I've been on and off ill since I started term back in October. This week, it's been the turn of the stomach bug. Have felt absolutely rotten and wouldn't wish it on anyone but I think I may have lost those last couple of pounds to reach goal - we shall see.

Can't wait to feel properly better though, it's been a real strain trying to keep up with the studies and mummyhood and all the other responsibilities that you can't take a sick day from.
