Are you eating GL I had to ask.

I was in a meeting all day yesterday
A Man I had not meet was there.
The way he was eating I had to ask if was on a plan , he gave me a funny look.
I told him he was eating a perfect GL diet
We spent the rest of our breaks talking about diets etc.........
He said he really wasnt on a diet.
He at one time had a belly and just change the my he ate , tried diffrent things and found out what worked for him.
He is very happy with his body now and works out 3 times a week.
and He is very happy with the way he eats he will have the odd treat when he really wants it.I know his attitude of how and what he eats is how I am going to live the rest of my life.
I am very happy I meet him.

Is this a new chat up line? LOL

It just goes to show that people who do not have issues with food just seem to get on with eating healthily and even prefer it too the stodge. That's my hubby ..... so why did my takeaway habit rub off on him and not the other way round?

I see you don't have far to go either, have you bought or already got any cookery books. I think I will purchase a GI book but am holding off until really need it.

I have bought a few GI and GL books to keep me on track when I start eating. It does look like a very good (and yummy) way of eating which I think I could manage. I'm just so keen not to go back to my old habits and stay slim. The Patrick Holford Books look quite good and Anthony Worrall-Thomson has a good GL recipe book. Hopefully I'll be able to keep those sweet cravings at bay!!

Yes, it's my birthday Sunday and just finished in kitchen making various salads and buffet style food. I really enjoyed doing it despite me not having anything. will be a test as love that grazing type of fayre!!!!I kept looking in my old cook books for different ideas as got rid of loads of them when we moved house last year that were old/unhealthy. The recipies looked nice.

Will have a look at the books you suggest maybe in a few weeks as some light at then end of the tunnel
