hello, new to minimins & CD, recently encountered a problem with my new diet :(

hello everyone,
ive been browsing minimins for about 4 months, loved the info on it, however this is my first post!

ive started Cambridge diet mid october and lost 1st 7lbs, as of yet, however in the past week, my weight hasnt changed, im anticipating my period within the next few days, does pms play a role in weightloss? am i expected to gain 2lbs due to water retention or is my weight probably not going to change during pms & my period week? is this common? im slightly dissapointed because of this.
any advice would be appreciated.

I always find that my period week does play a part in it.... I hardly lose any the week before because of fluid retention, but would have a big loss the week after.... normally on CD I drink dandelion tea the week before as this helps deal with fluid retention and stops this happening, started CD on that week this time so didn't do that....
 
Oh yes, totm plays a huge part in a woman's weight. But nature has it all organised (most of the time!) and although you usually don't lose as much (some women actually put on weight!) the week leading to your periods, the weight loss is significantly much bigger once they've started or once they're over :)

And don't worry, it's mostly water :)

Don't let it bother you - somewhere in the next two weeks you will have a lovely loss and you will think "aaaa bugger it, its just a period"

I got weighed on tuesday and had a good loss and started my TOTM yesterday. So Im not holding out for a great loss next tuesday :( BUT!!!! I know im being good and I trust this diet.

Thats exactly whats been happening, my weight for a week hasnt change , & i usually lose 3-4 a week, so no weightloss came to me as a shock, and now im certain its because my periods approaching!! i cant weight until this pms week of hell is over so i can start losing again!:eek:
 
thanks everyone your responses have been great & uplifting, i tend to get dissapointed quiet easily, & the lack of weightloss has been putting me down, but im not quiting this diet, this is only natural to happen around menstruation! xxx
