High points value foods you're craving?

For some reason ever since I started WW I've been craving a bleu cheese burger. Checked my eating out guide last night and they're in the region of 25-30 points! When I very first started I craved a chippie and was able to have one and get it out my system....can't see it happening with that burger.

I think you could do a lower pointed blue cheese burger at home? I've been craving pate!! but on weigh day i have a free day and dont count my points :D it works for me.

Like cherry after a weigh in on the night time I eat what i want and dont point...

I was craving miss millies and I had that monday night.

the week before it was a chicken curry from the chippie.. I had that ..

I dont have any cravings for this monday night so i dont know what il have yet! i got a nice chicargo town pizza in the freezer i could have! :p and iv worked it out at 30 points for the whole thing but it wont bother me!

Thats actually a great idea ladies - I think I'll try it. :)

i used to do that last time! it worked well, but this time im being a bit hitler, and have had more takeaways but low pointed things instead. really really really want a fried rice curry sauce n onions yummmmmm

I would like a curry from the local takeaway / restaurant chain near us :(

Was thinking maybe to make my own home made curry and because I made it I know I would enjoy it more, also cause it would be healthier then the local one (just need to find a good easy recipe).

I see a loss each week and think I may not have had that loss if I had the takeaway so it helps to stop me buying it.. (although must admit not craving one that badly really at the mo)

I actually like my home-made (slightly less authentic) versions better! I can buy bottles of General Tao sauce at the supermarket and instead of 16 Points per serving, it only costs me 6! I love a Points bargain!!

Is there a UK equivalent of Hungry Girl? For those who are unfamiliar with HG, she's a blogger who has amazing cookbooks with WW-friendly foods. She's actually affiliated with WW, and her books have lists of the Points values online. It was from her that I learned about shirataki noodles, "oven-frying" with Fiber One cereal, and Fuji apples (I kinda got stuck on Granny Smiths!) Her food is geared to North American tastes and uses products that you may not be able to get easily. But chances are, somebody's found a way to recreate your fave curry for very few Points.

Oh yeah - I thought I was "bilingual" in terms of food after years of watching Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson, but I'm learning a lot! I now know that Muller Light is not beer. Still not sure about the much-loved Curly-Wurly, but for 3 Points, I'd much rather have a bag of Baked Lays. (That's a "packet of baked crisps" to you!! LOL!!)

Fish and chips. With curry sauce.

Sunday dinners with massive yorkies and pints of gravy.

Christmas sarnies.

Greggs pasties and sausage rolls.

Salt and pepper squid, chicken fried rice, sesame prawn toasts - chinese.

I drove for about 6 hours today and for the last hour I was saying out loud the foods I am craving really badly. I've been WW-ing (albeit slowly) for about 18 months though so it's starting to set in really badly!

pastry, deep pan pizza, doorstep bread toasted with real butter, a proper greasy spoon fry up, fresh french stick. Looking at my list - just lots of white bread really!

A big portion of chips with salt and vinegar
Pizza
ROAST POTATOES with gravy!
Big bar of Galaxy

Rachel217 never tried the cook books, must give them a try, just well there are so many cookbooks out there, wasn't sure if these were any good.

Am I the only one here who actually prefers the American way of cooking, with cups and spoons (got all mine in a little draw) so much quicker.

Mine hang from hooks above the stove. Easy access makes all the difference!!

I am a major pizza lover lol! Hubby brought me a gorgeous veggie one today & a quarter of it was 9pp. I've worked out I can have the whole pizza, ww garlic ciabatta and two glasses of wine tonight and I'll still have 11weekly points left :) (used 6 already)

Normally I just wouldn't have tracked this meal but I can and I don't feel guilty and I won't need to have less points to make up for it! Loving pro points :) xxx

Zebredy I am an ex pat American living in the UK and I use both systems - sometimes especially if you want to recreate a recipe with uptmost accuracy the british system of weighing works best but I do use both systems and my measuring cups hang in front of me in the ktichen as well as my scales
aVicki

I watch a lot of American cooking shows and love not having to weight everything on scales etc

Doing it by cups is so much easier, wonder why both countries have such a different way of measuring when it comes to cooking.. (Do a lot of cooking with scales but just find the American system so much easier)
