I am hoping to have two shakes and... drink lots of water and then enjoy the Diwali feast.:welcome2: Hopefully we will only get invited to one or two dinners between today and Mon... and not too far off track!!! We also celebrate xmas (any excuse to party) so thinking of doing the same!! :xmastree: Any tips would be useful!!!

Re-feed or just eat the celebratory meal? I don't think that they're the same thing! If you are gong to consume lots of carbs, even if only for a couple of days, the YOU ARE going to put on loads of weight unless you're extremely lucky.....

True....I shall avoid the carbs as much as poss. If I can get out of the dinner and manage maybe one.

I don't know what sort of food your 'feasts' compromise of........but the word yummy is perhaps a bit of a give-away! I'm eating out this weekend as I'm away, I've checked the restaurant menus (I've booked ahead) and plan on having protein and a salad. I'm hoping that after all these weeks that I will be really full after only a couple of mouthfuls, I'm going to have my shakes for breakfast and lunch I think......good luck, let's compare notes on Monday!

Din din is at my Mils tonight so hopefully I can make myself a nice bowl of salad. We normally have a vege curry of some sort, some soupy lentils and rice or chapati...will avoid the sweets. Hoping my tummy has shrunk a bit so I will be fuller quicker too. I have had a down day today as well....so as usual looking at food for the comfort side.:(

We shall touch base on Mon.

Sandra....I would just like to say..that I managed to get out going to my mil for dinner. I weighted myself and put on 2lbs. :( I then decided to go for aqu aerobics and my mood feels much better now. I don't feel hungry and I have done a bit of exercise.

Good for you sweetheart! I went round to my sister's and her and my OH had a Chinese......god it smelt and looked amazing......

I know what you mean...I hope the will-power gets stronger as time goes on....right now I'm constantly battling with me self. My hubby was really sweet though....we had a long chat yesterday and he said that if we are invited he will go alone and tell everyone I have the Flu....I know it's a little white lie and I am missing out but I feel it's a small sacrifice for a life time change!! I had to explain to my 7 year old daughter I can't go for any din dins because I am not eating and she said " don't worry mummy we can light the candles together and i will go with daddy!" she said she can't wait till xmas coz "mummy will be thinner".... I feel so emotional ...when I think of what a great sport she is ...in her own little way!!

ah that's lovely, bless him and your little girl. It really will be so much better for her to have a slimmer mummy - you'll be able to do so much more together x
