Well I was doing Slimming World but got bored of that, my friend lost 7 stone with WW so I decided to go with her and join last night, NOT HAPPY with my treatment, the leader didn't explain anything, now I know there is a new programme coming in next week, but I have this first week to do and am not sure what to do so I am just gonna follow the quick start and see what happens! Felt like going back to Slimming World! So guys please let me know why I should stay with WW :)

OMG, I can understand why you are unhappy, i was thinking if joining tonight as i dont really want to wait another week to start losing weight. I have done the plan before and have an idea of what the current plan is about so would probably manage, but cant remember enough at the moment to advise you.

The only thing i can say is that ww is the only way i have managed in the the past to successfully lose weight, and hopefully once you get to the meeting next week and are talked through things properly you will probably feel better about it all. Clearly from what you have said its not an ideal time to join!!

aww thats a shame ur leader didn't explain anything to u! u should have stayed behind at the end and asked. She maybe did get distracted with the changes happening next week...Anyway, follow the books they gave u for this week and theres always help on this forum so come here if your stuck.

Why should u stay will ww? well u got bored of sw and wanted a change for a start - your friend has lost a lot of weight and so has people on this forum. I've not met anyone it hasnt worked for. It's a shame u didnt have a good start but im sure u wont be dissapointed if you continue!!

Go for it and good luck with ur weight loss journey!!!

i think the leaders are in a difficult position this week, rightly or wrongly there probably is little point in going into the ins and outs of Discover this week when its going to be obsolete next week.

Whether you stick with WW is up to you but the new plan sounds really interesting, if youre fed up with SW then WW is probably a great option

Why should you stay with WW you ask? Well, I ask the question back to you: why shouldn't you? I understand that your leader didn't explain the plan to you, but probably she felt that it was a waste of your time to be told about the old program when next week you would need to learn the new one! Much better to maybe just have a guess this week and then start a-fresh next week with all the info you need!

I can tell you that the new plan is really good. I have been following it for 2 days now, as I'm a helper and I've been given the new plan 1 week in advance so I could help other people next week. I've never felt so full with the previous plan, but since I weight myself every day I can say that my weight is having a similar reaction to any previous week. The free fruit is great, because you can eat vegetables and become full, but it feels more satisfying in a way if you're doing it with fruit! It's nice to have a snack from time to time and maybe have an apple if you're feeling peckish without having to add it to your counter.

However, as far as I understand (never done SW so I don't know!) it is very different from SW because in WW no food is banned and things like Muller light are not free.

So that's why I'm saying - try it. Why SHOULDN'T you try it after all? Think at the reasons why you went to that meeting on the first place: you were BORED of SW! Can you keep on following something that bores you? Was it fitting with your lifestyle? Are you just fancying a change? So if you are, think at what Einstein used to say, "Insanity is doing always the same things but demanding to obtain different results"

Wise suggestion from a wise man!
