How easy would it be to stick to the old plan...

When they bring the new way of counting points in a couple of weeks?

I ask mainly because I only go to meetings to get weighed and don't really stay for the whole thing. Plus I've just spend a small fortune buying things like shopping/eat out guides, scales, recipe books etc and now they're completely going to waste. I'm really surprised that the people at my meeting let me buy recipes books when they knew the whole system would be changing in a little under a fortnight. Seems very unfair although I appreciate it's just timing.

So if I'm basically doing it all myself, how hard would it be to stick to the old calories/sat fat ratio?

I plan to stick to the old plan, not the new one...

I dont know how hard it will be, Will find out when it happens!

Cant see why it would be a problem at all. Thats what I intend to do. If youve got the calculator then you can still work out the points value as usual

My only irk is that I'm not going to be able to use the online planner on the WW website since it's going to calculate all wrong. And I sort of think...well if that's the case should I bother paying for classes just to go get weighed?

Im assuming it will be just as easy as normal to stick to the old plan, providing you have a calculator handy to work out the "old" points from the nutritional info. Thats whay Im planning to do, for the meantime at any rate.

I shall be sticking to the old way as i do it alone at home!! :D

The ww meals and pre pointed stuff they are planning to have it all recalculated by January, but as long as u have the old calculator you can repoint it yourself.

Just back from my meeting. There will be 20% off calculators/shop/eating out until January, but much more useful than that.. the new folder contains a little booklet which has the ProPoints values for the last couple of cookbooks. (I only asked about the Fabulous & Filling, and that's definitely there.) I was also feeling a bit cross about having bought it completely unaware of the impending system change, but I'm now happy.

I'm 8 months on ww today and plan to try the new plan simply as my losses are slow now and new can be good, if I don't lose/like it then it's back to old....
I think they should of prewarned you about new plan before you purchased ww items, maybe try the new plan if you don't like it do the old, I wonder if you are allowed to do eirther like points or core or they just want us to do new , I do it at home but may go get new plan ?x

I dont go to meetings either so will be sticking to the old plan for now although I have been thinking about going to a class to get the new plan/see if I like it as I have never been to one before

i would say what ever suits you best but i know someone at class today had said there were sticking to the old play and the leader made a point of stating that she would no longer be able to offer advice to her as she has to stick to the new plan and help with that i assume all leaders will have the same as it will be something they are told to do but i think like this paln we are on now it took getting use to i am sure the new plan will work the same x

the website will change, the ready meals will change, the stuff said at meetings will change... your leader will give you a booklet that converts the recipes in the 2010 cookbooks in propoints and as for the scales... yes, you will need to buy them again if you really need to, but you can always just weight your food and work out the propoints yourself, with the wheel that will be provided or with the new calculator. The shopping guide, eating out and tracker are in a boxset for £9.95 in total, and I think the calculator is roughly a similar price and it also works out your propoints allowance for you. Very handy. in the £9.95 booklet you also get a £5 off voucher for the scales, £2 off for the pedometer and £1 off the calculator. There's also a very good booklet inside your material that shows you examples of common stuff for breakfast lunch and dinner with the propoints of each. So... I don't think it'll cost a fortune to upgrade to the new plan!

That sounds like it's around £20.00 a throw, on top of the £19.95 pm monthly pass. No wonder they changed it, they're quid in!! But what can you do?

i re-joined a ww meeting today & i asked the leader if we would get a cardboard pro points finder like the old plan & she said yes but then said she could not say anymore!, but iv found this link online if it works
Google Translate

Hmm interesting link, if that is how the new WW is going to be then it deff reminds me of SW.. especially the 'comfort plus foods', that you can eat as much of until satisfied, for 3 and 4 points

Im sticking to the old plan as i do it all alone.. no meetings etc.. it works for me, so will just carry on xx
