How long does it take for your body to get back into ketoisis after eating.
I was so close to cheating yesterday i nearly took a bite out of the little kid next door. lol
I am trying to deter myself by thinking of
how long it takes to get back into ketosis.

thanks for any ideas.

It depends on what you have but can put you back to day 1 again.

It's not just ketosis though, the mental struggle to get back on track is worse in my opinion, this is my third and final restart!

If you can resist, it'll make life much easier in the long run, wish I'd stayed 100% from day 1!

Depends what you eat. A bite of little kid, being mostly protein and fat, will not put you out of ketosis, so that would actually be quite a good choice. ;)

If you stay away from carbs, you won't go out of ketosis. That's not a great excuse for eating meat, poultry, cheese and nuts though, so don't misunderstand me. On Cambridge, calories matter just as much as carbs.

It isn't the ketosis that makes Cambridge work. Cambridge works because you're eating tiny amounts of calories. Ketosis simply makes eating tiny amounts of calories bearable. That's the reason you want to stay in ketosis. Going out of ketosis makes your body realise just how few calories it's surviving on!

Best not to cheat if you can possibly help it, but if you're absolutely desperate, stick to the foods listed in SS+. Better yet, make it a SS+ day if you do, so that you can legitimise your actions and not feel like you've cheated...
