Question about Danone Activia yoghurts

I need to ask you a question!

I am in the 2nd week of management when we can have yoghurts, I was looking forward to it. I had my Tesco groceries delivered the other night and I had my first yoghurt last night - Danone Activia Forest Fruits 0% fat 4 X 125g. It was very nice but it was rather sweet! I looked at the label and was dismayed to read that there is sugar as well as sweeteners!!! I bought it because it says "fat free"!!!

Here is what the label says...

Each 125 g serving contains.
Calories 67 3%,
Sugars 10.1g 11%,
Fat 0.2g <1%,
Saturates trace <1%,
Salt 0.2g 3%.

I looked in the management book, it says that 10g sugars or more per 100 g is a lot and 2g sugar per 100g is a little.

What do you think? What did you choose??

I also ordered Total Greek 0% Fat Yoghurt but they were unavailable at the time of delivery. :(

I got the Irish Diet Yogurt after spending 1/2hr scanning the aisles in Tesco. I did not do an online shop this week for the simple fact I needed to view the labels.

The Irish diet yogurt does not have added sugar and uses sweetner and is vitually fat free. They are creamy and very nice. £1.99 for 6 in York

I love the total 0% fat free greek yogurt too.

Hope this helps

I have found another range in Budgens near work cant remember the name though. I will have a look tomorrow and let you know the brand of Yogurt.

Not many were low in Sugar Weight Watchers were very high

Thanks for replying!

I was thinking the 125 g pot has less sugar than the 10 g sugar per 100g. Next time I go to the supermarket, I will look for 0% fat and no sugar yoghurt and give the rest of Danone Activia to my DH!

I just hope that I won't put on weight next week! :(

Thats OK

It is hard trying to find food that says it is low fat but when you look more closely it isnt. I found that most of the healthy eating dips in Tesco were actually no good as they had mayo and when you looked at the fat content they were still quite high.

The salsa is ok that they do and it is nice. I do intend to make my own though.

If I can think of any other tips that might help I will let you know

Oh if you have the Hartleys low fat jelly packets on the strawberry there is a recipe for a strawberry mousse. You mix natural yogurt in when it is nearly set. It is lovely like a blamange. Worth a try for something a bit different

I did not realise you had to be so careful with some of the labels.

Is it quite hard to get what the management book suggests?
