I am loving this diet-yes it takes a bit of thinking and planning but what diet doesnt ? am really enjoying my food and not really been hungry. Would advise anyone to give it a go.

Havent really got a menu for today-bacon and egg for brekkie, but lunch will be out so it will be a case of seeing what they have and evening meal will depend on what I have for lunch-that is sort of a plan LOL

A trip to sainsburys for a change ,got some soup ( new covent garden, checked the label nothing in that isnt Harcombe friendly ) ans also picked up some rice cakes and puufed rice cereal so can very my breakfasts a bit. Will let you know what they are like-the soup was yummy !!!

Rice cakes and the puffed rice cereal are both nice ! did but a tiny bit of sweetner on the cereal.
Had a lovely meal out last night, did over eat if I'm honest but nothing compared to what I am capable of,or would have been in the past.
So back on the straight and narrow today.
B-puffed rice
L- home made BNS and red pepper soup
D- chicken casserole and veg

food today
B bacon and tomato
L tandoori chciken and salad
s-lumo of cheese and a glass of red wine
D turkey and stir fry

more red wine !!

Had a pretty awful day today, work not fun and got kicked by the little boy I look after, came home and had a good blart hence the glass of wine-but you know what ?? a few months ago this would been an excuse for the mother of all binges !!!!

You are doing great! The tandoori chicken sounds lovely. Is it in the recipe book? I am still waiting for it to arrive

Well unless something changes ( ie a much need trip to the loo-sorry if tmi) I am looking at a small gain this week, not too happy about that but am not going to let one blip detter me !!

Boooooooooooooo to the gain!! That's not fair!

I suffer with constipation too, horrid isn't it? Does this diet make it worse for you? CD was a killer for me so was hoping this diet would be ok.....??

I think that can happen on any diet Jane. Maybe have 2 or 3 days back on phase 1 next week.

It's great that you and Pam are a few weeks ahead as it lets all of us new starts see what to expect in the weeks to come.

jacsprat-just remember that everyine is different and we all loose at different rates, but so far everyone seems to be doing really well on it !!

Karen, I dont think it's the diet, I have been taking some painkillers that have codiene in,and codiene affects me like that.

well last night, tired and down I had some bread and butter, and some cake. Enjoyed them so much that I decided to give myself the weekend off.
Had an indian takeaway( which was gorgeous ) and some very ropey wine-OMG am I paying for it this morning !! was woken in the night by killer heartburn and I will not even begin to give the details of my early morning trip to the loo-you just wouldnt want to know !!
Clearly my tum has decided its not used to such things anymore.
Still going to be a little more relaxed over the weekend then restart phase 1 again on monday- i think i need to !!

Evening all. Had a good weekend-didnt go too silly after the takeaway, but the scales are up again this morning.
Am loosing heart a bit-not with the actual diet but just with myself in general-am very tired, moods up and down, tearfull and just generally cant be @rsed.
However its not all bad news. I have restarted today, not phase 1 as I intended but staright onto phase 2-not sure if that will work or not after all the naughties but having had cracking headaches both times I've done phase 1 and having a very busy week comming up I just couldnt cope with both at the sametime.
Been ok all day,was on a First Aid course so no opportunity to eat appart from at the proper times so have been on track. Since comming home I keep looking at things I shouldnt have-left over attitude from the weekend ? or just adjusting back to the straight and narrow? Consold myself with one of the kids Babybels instead.

SO I have had a chat with myself.
Realised today that my skin has really improved since doing THD
In general I am sleeping better.
My excema has almost gone
I am less bloated.
The diet, even tho at times it seems a bit faffy, dooes give me lots of freedom.
Just been looking at the new ww propoints plan and the thought of going back to all that counting, weighing and measuring fills me with horror.
Old habbits die hard and I am letting last weeks little gain be an excuse to throw in the towel-again.
this week is a skint week and I need to do a big shop but cant til the weekend-tryin to live on what we've got on is not inspiring me,but this cannot become an excust to go off the rails either !!

So there you go,good reasons to carry on. I will soon be past this malaise and I will be back in the zone-just you lot wait and see !!

Well you've said it yourself and listed all the good reasons for carrying on with the diet, it's easy to give up & at times very hard to continue, but do you want to go back to where you were?

There is no easy diet, this one is pretty good, but the bottom line with any diet is you're making big changes whilst everything and everyone around you seems to be against you and it will always be challenging. But read about Phase 3, how good does that sound? you can cheat, you can eat foods you've had to give up as long as you're careful - it seems like a good deal to me.

Keep up the good work, stay strong - you'll be so glad you did :)
