Hey everyone,

I recently found this forum and I think it is fab!!

I've tried losing weight for so long, and have never been successful. My willpower always seems to crumble when I don't see results. I now weight 183lbs  and am completely miserable about it.

My dad had told me about these fitness DVDs he had seen on the TV. KettleWorx. I had a look on their website and liked the idea, so I bought them. It's basically workout DVD's using kettlebells. You do 3 DVD's per week (each lasting 20 minutes), and stick to eating 3 meals and 2 snacks each day. I only started on Monday, but I can feel the difference already. I feel myself having a bit more energy than before, and my muscles are really feeling it! lol I have done 2 out of 3 workouts this week and they really do work you hard!! I don't know if anyone else is using this or has heard of it? Would be good to see how anyone else finds it.

Anyhoo, I'm hoping to get some much needed support from you lovely people, as I don't have a very supportive family (I live with my mum, dad and little brother). We always have junk food in the house, so I have to make sure I am in the right mindset so I don't continually reach for them :(

Thanks for listening! Looking forward to getting to know all of you and join you all on our wonderful weight loss journeys :)

Hi, welcome to the forum Stacy. I haven't heard of those fitness dvds but they sound like hard work, lol. ;) Good luck with your weight loss.

Hey hun, the workout sounds brill, i've always wanted to learn how to use kettlebells, i'm too chicken to use them on my own at the gym.. good luck with your journey x

Thanks!

I've never actually seen them at any gyms I've been to, but I've heard other people say they are really good for working out, so wanted to give them a try. At the moment, I would recommend them - simply because the workouts are fun! Hard work, but fun! lol Good luck with your journey too! I see you've lost 5lbs your first week - that's amazing!! Congrats :)

Thanks for the welcome everyone! :) bunny hops, I keep a big bottle of water with me all day, and have been drinking about 1.5l every day :) very pleased with that!!

Heya,

Nice one on finding something that works for you. I'm still looking. :S I tried some fitness programmes but find it really difficult to take them seriously. I think I'll have to stick to classes where there's an instructor who'll push me to try harder.

Good on you for having the self motivation to push yourself. I find adding a bit of diluting juice to water helps me drink the amount of water needed way easier.

Batair :)

Hey Stacy, :welcome2: to the forums and thanks for giving us such a detailed explanation of your diet and plans! Sounds to me like you're really motivated and got the right idea. I too ballooned right up to 14st and looked terrible, I'm now down to 12st 8lbs and feel heaps better for it but I want to be down to 9st 4lbs so I have a way to go yet.

This forum is excellent for support and encouragement. I'm sorry to hear that you don't have a very supportive family, thats a shame, hopefully you can find your comfort on this forum with our motivation, friendship and support.

Looking forward to chatting with you soon, please keep us updated on your progress and get posting! :) X
