Hi All,

Any got any fun ideas for a halloween taster night at my group this week? I am a little stuck for ideas.
Thanks x

the sw website suggests hartleys jelly, then add the jelly snakes from a sweet shop and let it set!.. i always do 1/2 pint boiling water then top to 1pt with diet lemonade instead of water, cos it tastes better! the snakes are 1/2 each, but it'd look fab and after splitting it up at taster eve you wouldnt eat a whole snake to yourself anyways!

I noticed on here yesterday someone had posted the recipe for the gingerbread men that was in this months mag, somebody then said they would do pumpkin shaped ones which I thought was a good idea, you could maybe do something like that?

Pumpkin soup was my first thought too ;)

Or you could roast some pumpkin with garlic and rosemary or sage and add to cooked pasta. You could add roasted red onion, peppers etc too to make it more interesting.

Orange Jelly Lanterns.

Fresh oranges
Sugar free jelly crystals (yellow, red or orange)

Slice the top of the oranges (Keep them for later) and scoup out the insides. Make up the jelly and leave to cool. Fill the empty orange with the cooled jelly and leave to set.

Once set, with a sharp knife cut a latern face in the orange skin and place the lid back on.

Or a Vegetable skeleton and syn free dip?

I'm making the gingerbread men (from this mths mag) but gonna make bats and spooky shapes. Love the jelly ideas, they are brilliant :) xx
