weigh in and thinking of refeed

Hi,

Week 8 weigh in and have lost 5lbs, this means I have now lost 2st 4lbs which is roughly what my little one weighs and she feels soooooo heavy!!!!

I'm feeling so much better and have even been to areobics tonight. I have around 12lb left to loose and thoughts are turning to refeeding.

I am really worried about putting weight back on, although I have a personal mission not to a) I don't want to be large again and b) my step-mother did lipotrim - she and everyone else she knows who's done it has put the weight back on. So given this I am stubborn and prove her wrong and that it does work!

Can you tell me how your views on managing refeeding and life afterwards, any particular diets your going to follow - I think I'm leaning towards slimming world for the discipline of a weigh in.

Hi Gemha....I intend to start refeed on 6 December for 2 weeks then eat normally over Christmas...

If i don't have too much to lose i will probably go Weight Watchers, but if i have been really bad, or still have a way to go i am going back on TFR.

You have done really well hun x x

Thanks Su, initially I said I'd do it for 4 weeks to kickstart me into dieting!.

I'm thinking I need structure of getting weighed in front of someone to keep it off. Hopefully I could get to be a gold member quite quickly and not have to pay.

Good luck on the rest of your journey too x

Hi gemha

I've thought long and hard about this as my refeed Is fast approaching too

I have decided I'm ping to take the refeed slowly, as in do day 1 for a week, go and get weighed, too see and monitor the effects then day 2 etc etc, keep a full diary of my meals and weight losses or gains..

Then low gi diet, but still go to chemist for weigh ins

I think the main thing is to keep weighing every week, there is no way I'm going to be one of those people that say "it just crept up on me" when they put loads of weight on.

I know there is method in my madness, but I will see, and will carry on
posting on here, and definately do my refeed diary on here lol, everyone has permission to tell me off if I'm naughty pmsl please do

I think all your proposals are very sensible.....having gotten this far I don't think any of you will put the weight back on.....for a start did any of you have the support of minimins when you lost weight before? I'm sure that like me, everyone else on here has made a few very good friends who we share the ups and downs with, even if only on FB.

You've only got to look at the likes of Tanya, Jan, Bev and the others on maintenance to see how they still continue to support each other and I think that's the secret to long-term weight maintenance. We're supporting each other through the dieting bit and we can continue to do so on the long rocky road ahead.....for how ever long it takes!

As I've practically lived on here for the last 7 odd weeks I can't imagine life without you lot, and I'm still in touch with a coupleoif the friends that I made online through mybrokenleg.com (I kid you not, it was brilliant for the months that was laid up) so I don't see that this will be any different......

Please please consider going straight to Atkins/low carb for the last few pounds Gemha. It has worked so well for me - I did a switchover thing for a couple of weeks while finishing lipotrim, but if you do it right you never come out of ketosis and keep burning fat constantly while eating loads! Win-win! :D

Can you let us know exactly what you did as it sounds like you got it just right!

Thankyou all for your advice, it's something I'm not really looking forward to as on TFR there has been no element of straying!

Waterworks - going to google Atkins now
