Christmas Lunch

Hiya guys

Ok so it might seem ages away but really Christmas is only around the corner, and at my work we’re planning our Christmas lunch. I’m worried! What do I do? I don’t want to have any accidents, but I don’t want to not go to the lunch! Am I able to come off the pills for that day, or would I need to come off of them a few days before it to avoid the side effects? Is it safe to stop taking them for things like this?

Hope someone can help! I know it's a while away but if I'm not able to eat the food then I have to say soon because we're paying our deposits next week & I can't afford to pay it for nothing!

you will have to stop the tablets 2-3 days before.

if the whole christmas menu is a total no go then the best thing to do is stop the tablets in advance of the meal, then you should avoid the side effects.

the same would apply to others events, holidays etc

Thanks guys. I think our lunch is going to be prebooked so I don't want to cause a fuss and be asking for a special meal but don't want to miss out on the whole party and everything so I think coming off them will be best for it. I'll go straight back on them the next day tho - will that be OK?

As for actual Christmas dinner, we're going to my parents this year (done our first one together in our flat last year and it was soooo boring alone lol) so my mum will be cooking for about 10 people, she has offered to cook something diet friendly for me but I just can't not eat pudding or anything at Christmas!! So I'll be doing the same again then! Hope this will be OK!!

Evil - I'm going to dp's work christmas party mid december. It's in a psh Mayfair hotel so I really want to make the most of it, I have no idea what the menu will be so have decided to stop taking the tablets 3 days before hand and sart taing them as normal the next morning. Will do the same for christmas/boxing day. A couple of treat days now and again aren't going to do any harm and it's lovely to have something to look forward too!
