What is this all about ?

When you look in your food optimising bible, a lot of the syn values are given in "28g" ..... Why is that ?

28g is not a lot of anything to be fair, and i can`t believe anyone would cut off 28g worth of a scone, or weigh 28g of a slice of Chocolate fudge cake just to have the lower 28g syn value.

So help me out here, what is this 28g thing all about ? ?

I guess it's just to give people a syn value per ounce! I have been known to weigh out 28g of cake mind  I suppose it just helps when people want to calculate how many syns they've had, so if they've had about 2 ounces of cake they can just double the syn value...saves the problem of 'guesstimating' syns and then going over the syn allowance for the week!
