Ill be starting my LT journey again next month. I have about 12 stone to lose in all. (healthy bmi) Was wondering if losing say half and then having a few weeks break would be a good idea. Would this maybe give my body ie skin a chance to bounce back? Im just trying to figure things out :)

entirely up to you, but good luck with ur journey :) looking forward to hearing how you get on xx

It depends on yourself hun, I am sure so long as you did refeed properly for your break and you can trust yourself to get back on then you'd be fine.

I understand psychologically it seems like you'll be at it forever and if a break in between helps with that, I am all for it! Good luck whatever you decide to do xx

Cheers all.

Not sure if this what ill actually end up doing. Just trying to get my head straight now before i start. Will have to wait and see.

that sounds like a good idea although i must say for me i dont think i could do it as the thought of starting again would terrorise me lol but if it works for you x x

I can tell you what my doctor told me...

He had no problem with the diet, but he said he'd be happier for me to do in stages

He said it would help with excess skin etc

I am following his advise and not starting again, that's if I do start again, in the new year, after I have maintained the losses and given my skin time to elasticate itself ( or wateva it does lol)

I also think doing it in stages reduces the pressure your under

my ideal weight is 12 stone, I started at 18 stone, I'm stopping at 14 stone (not far to go). If someone asked me at 18 stone, what I would have been happier at my asnswr would have been 14 stone... So I'm stopping there, living with the changes for a while, then I will decide if I want to lose any more...

Help my waffle helps

It all helps Amanda thats why i ask. You have all been where i am just now. A week or so before starting. The nerves and excitement are all there. Will be interesting to see if it takes as long for the ketosis fairy to visit this time though. Six days the last time was brutal :(

Good luck in your journey, for me personally I wouldn't be able to restart after stopping due to how I felt in the first week!!

My friend is on second refeed. She lost 6st then refed for a month then went back on it for another couple of months and is planing to refeed 7th december in time for christmas then back to tfr again. She has a while to go but is managing to get through it in stages with her long term goals in mind. I have been eating for a month and am going back on it tomorrow- got to get to goal if it kills me!!!!!! Good luck

That's cool... Nice to hear people can do it
I have my plans, but it's always nice to hear other people succeeding along the same lines, especially when I have not tried it yet...
I didn't really suffer that much the first week, I kept my mind focused on what my goal was and the losses I was going to achieve on this diet...
