Ive got a really bad habit of weighing myself throughout the day.. eeeek, Can someone explain why this is such a bad idea to me? Maybe then ill convince myself not to take on the scales!

I use to do that alot, everyday in fact, just to convince myself that im loosing weight and when i didnt id get stress and think of more ways to cut back or up my exercise. Honestly just because it doesnt show on the scales it doesnt mean your not loosing. I just go by my size 12 jeans now they fit perfect (just!) if they go tighter then id know ive put on. they were times when my scales told me i put on 6IBs but my jeans still fitted me??? and people in work and friends kept asking me if i have lost more weight cuz i looked alot thinner then they last saw me??Id go by my clothes from now on.and ask some 1 close to you to hide your scales lol my other other half locks it in his car boot and only brings it out once a week for me and then locks it again lol.

Hi - I don't weigh through the day - as I always weigh naked and I can't be bothered to strip off mid-day! And I always weigh less 1st thing in the morning, so its never going to be good news later on in the day. But I do weigh every morning - I think it helps me - if I don't, and think I've had a good week, then get on the scales and I haven't, it can throw me off completely. If I feel like eating the whole house, I'm more likely to go for it if I know I haven't got to get on the scales for another 5 days - if i'm checking my weight tomorrow I won't binge. I know I've never got on the scales after a long break and been pleased with what I've seen - so weighing every day works for me, even if it is 'diety' behaviour. Maybe when I get to a weight I'm happy with, I might relax it a bit!
