help/advice pls RE resigning

As you all know i start my new job on the 25th so i have to hand in my notice tomorrow on my new job.

Now, do i have to physically go into the office and hand it in or can I post it through the door do you think? Im community based and only go into the office when I need supllies eg gloves, aprons etc etc and the office is a good 40min walk away. However im passing there tonight so im wondering whether I can just post it through the door?

If it was me, I would rather hand it over in person, and have done in the past. But I don't think there are hard and fast rules as to how you go about handing it over. As you are passing tonight, in your shoes I would be tempted to put it through the door tonight, get it over and done with. Good luck in your new job!

I think I will write it out and put it through the door and pop a note on explaining that I cant get over with it personally x

Just give them a courtesy call tomorrow to make sure it has been recieved

My advice would be to hand it over personally, never burn your bridges as you dont know what may happen in the future.

If one of our employees just put it through the door, or popped in on my desk without talking to me my estimation of them would go down.

Good luck in your new job though
