A Newbie's Diary

So I'm thinking I'm going to start a diary for this, so I can try to keep track easier of what I'm eating.

Although, I have just realised this morning that I've used 11 syns before I even started (think I need some new breakfast options) - evidently toast with WW jam and Lurpak Lighter is a bad option.

Pleased to be seeing some of the great syn values on here though so that should help me a little bit :)

First weigh in on Friday but not been doing this new plan for too long so need to wait and see if it's had any effect...

Hi newbie, I am a newbie plus 11 days!! You could have Wholemeal toast (one slice) and a banana sliced on top of it for a quick breakfast? You would only use one HEB and the banana is free.

My favorite breakfast is couscous. chopped fruit (banana, apple, pear, berries...whatever I have) and a syn free yogurt mixed in. I know it might not be to everyone's taste but it only takes a few minutes. Put 2 or 3 tablespoons of plain dry couscous in your cereal bowl, add enough boiling water to cover couscous, then cover the bowl (I use a plate), leave for 5 minutes and then add fruit and yogurt, makes for a lovely filling free breakfast on EE or Green, saving your HEB for later in the day!

Hope this is helpful. Trixie

Wow, that's great, thanks. I think I've been so used to eating bread on WW that it's going to be a bit of a culture shock to move away from eating that, and pastries and moving into cereals and things.

It's going to take some getting used to, I think. But at least there's a great support network on here :)

I just posted on your food diary,
I gave up bread altogether, the breadmaker went to the back of the cupboard :( But it was homemade bread daily that assisted in the weight gain in the first place!!
You could have 'magic' porridge and lots of fruit.
cereal followed by muller and fruit
SW fry up if time permits

Trixie, i'm quite taken by the couscous for brekki idea........ not really thought about using it as a sweet thing - although i have made couscous cake which is sweet. Think i may have to experiment :)
