We have had a phone call from a local estate agent saying that some folks are coming from Holland to see our house on Friday. Well they arrive Thursday but come here Friday.

It is not an easy place to sell because of the amount of land, the stables etc. Not many people around are looking for that but on the other hand if someone is looking for that there are not many around for sale.

Thank goodness DH has just finished reforming the kitchen. It looks so good, all cream. I love it .

Spent most of yesterday doing an extra deep clean and everywhere is sparkling and looking good.

Fingers crossed please. !!!!

BTW Holland won their euro qualifier against Sweden (4-1) yesterday so if nothing else your potential buyers should be happy .

Yes, though it will depend on all the paper work for the babes. Could not go without them.

Might be looking for a French rental stop gap if doggies and pussies paperwork takes for ever. Have seen some that look fine and are pet friendly.

Need to be close to Roscof for the ferries to Plymouth so I can go buy a house in Cornwall.

The agent came yesterday and absolutely loved the house........phew !!! She is sure her clients will buy if they can raise the extra few thousand over their budget. We will not drop the price as it is already a give away price because of the financial climate and we want to sell sooner rather than later.

This is the second time they have flown to Spain to see property. The house they were buying fell through, the owners decided not to sell. That seems good to me as it must mean they are ready to buy with everything in place i.e. the dosh.

We will see........... they will be here between 6 and 7 this evening.

This really is fingers and toes crossed time.

I keep telling myself if they don't buy there will always be someone else.

The thought of the house being sold is quite scary.......... the task ahead is daunting...........Babes to prepare.... house to clear.......house to rent in France.......house to buy in Cornwall.............do I want to leave my very beautiful home ???? Of course I do but I am feeling a bit scaredy pie.

Hi Sue. Wishing you all the best for today. How does it work in Spain with property? Here in France, once you sign the initial paperwork with the agent or notary, you are legally bound to sell and the buyer is legally bound to buy, unless they are unable to get a mortgage. No gazumping here - it's a great system. Takes about 2 months from start to finish.

It's the same here in Holland, I still don't understand the British not introducing laws to protect both the buyer and the seller.

They loved the place but wanted us to drop the price even more. We have already dropped it by 30.000€. They wanted us to drop another 10.000€.

As much as we want to sell we can not give the house away and we have to buy something else so we said sorry but no.

Ah well the house looks fantastic. A million jobs that had been going to be done have been done. All the old rubbish has gone and the next people will have the money and will buy !!!!
