Hi,

I had some routine bloods done as I've been feeling fatigued for the last year or so. I didn't even know I was being checked for PCOS until I went to get the results and was told that my hormone levels and other symptoms which I had mentioned (skin, weight etc) suggest that I have it! As you can imagine I was a little shocked as I don't really know anything about PCOS! I'm now waiting on a scan appointment - does anyone have an idea of roughly how long i'll wait (i'm in Bristol by the way!)?

I'm also a bit confused - do the bloods mean I deff have it or does the scan need to show it too? I don't really understand!

Thanks,
Loz x

The scan will def prove if you hve it or not as you will have cysts on your ovaries, but if they've come to the conclusion from the bloods then its probably correct. There doesnt seem to be any cure for it, just ways to manage the symptoms. I don't think there is a proven scientific link yet but alot of women find that it is heriditary x
