Did you get any games with the Wii? I got Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort with mine and the games on these are good for staying active, especially the table tennis and baseball :)

Hey hun, you could try EA Sports Active, its a workout game and you don't need the balance board with it. Wii Sports is a good workout depending on what you do on it, tennis is a good one for getting you moving.
Just Dance is also a good workout game for dancing and you don't need the balance board. That should be reduced in price now as the new one is coming out this week. You should look at the pre-owned section, you can get games for cheaper there.
Good luck and let us know how you get on and when you can manage to get your Wii Fit Plus X

thanks both of you, i've just put my dinner on and goin to bed early so gunna put the wii on for half an hour or so on wii sports, and i'm havin a wee quick google on just dance :) probably head to shops 2morra to see if its in reduced bit in HMV or game :)
Be sure to look in the pre-owed bit in Game as they might have it in there and it will be a bit cheaper :)

Oh and by the way, here is a handy Wii Sports calculator so you can work out the calories you'll be burning roughly. Just enter your weight and the time you spent on which activity ;)

Wii.com - Wii Sports Calorie Meter

The Biggest Loser (£10 from Tescos) has an option to play without the wii ballance board. It just gave me a jolly good workout!

Hey hun did you manage to find anything you wanted?

wii sports is great! i like that one better than the wii fit actually.... just dont go over exited on bowling like me and fling the remote at the tv!! oopsie....

hey sorry not replied been a hectic week lol, at the moment i've stuck to wii sports as i am really skint lol :( (work for a temp agency and its really quiet atm!) but thanks for all the tips def going to get one of them soon - and thanks miss mango for the calculator it will give me something to focus on - like when i'm at the gym and it says how many calories you've worked off i then go "ohh i'm sure i can work off 50 more.." :D will let yous know which one i go for :)

No probs hun, I'm glad I can be of assistance in some way! :D

Oh the games are expensive aren't they? I have to wait for ages before I can get games sometimes, the price of them is stupid to be honest.

I love having graphs, charts and calculators to help me with my progress, I find it much easier! X

I was wondering the same thing! Everyone goes on about it but I'm not sure it looks like something I would enjoy. I might go search some gameplay of it on YouTube again, I can usually assess it a bit better then.

I have this. The actual exercises feel easier than EA Sports Active, but you're still wringing with sweat at the end. The only trouble is some of the exs you are face down and you can't see when "Bob" has finished. Stll prefer EASA.

i bought the biggest loser and absolutely hated it
