Hi all

I have a lot of weight to lose (about 8 stone in to be 10 stone something) and i have done every diet under the sun. I am thinking of doing plain old calorie counting and exercise but i was wondering where everyone found the calories for item e.g. fruit and veg. Also do you take into account anything else like fat etc?

I am seeing a personal trainer on Thursday and alway find exercise much easier to do than control my food.

I am also getting married next year and hope to be at least a couple of stone lighter for that but i am in it for the long haul.

Any help would be greatly appricated :help2:

Thank you

Hello and good luck on your journey. I calorie count and I admitt I dont pay as much attention to fat although I do try to keep everything I have as 5g fat per 100 g of food due to having once been on xenical.

Most packeted foods show the calories but I also use a free site which if you google 'myfitnesspal' you can input everything you have, enter your weigh ins etc and helps you monitor your calories for the day and how many you should have and how many you have remaining, its definately worth a look.

Congrats on getting married next year and Im sure if you put your mind to it you will smash those pounds away :)

Good luck

Hello! I've tried all sorts of diets before, but this time I was determined to shift the weight and decided to go back to plain & simple calorie counting. I've tried to eat loads of fruit and veggies and stick to a low fat diet. Good luck with your journey - just think how good you'll look in those wedding photos:)
