Chicken Soup/Flapjacks??

Hi, Just wondering if there is anyone out there who recommends the chicken soup shake or the flapjack? I was thinking of getting some next week but if they are really that disgusting then it'd be a waste of precious meals.....does the chicken soup not taste of anything chickeny or soupy at all?? I made a 'muffin' out of the chocolate shake last night, okay so it tasted nothing like a muffin but it did have texture and definitely demanded chewing which was welcome (so long as I ate it really fast otherwise not so tasty!!).
Any advice would be much appreciated, x

Its all about personl preference really. I couldnt stand the soup, infact the tiny bit i drunk made me sick, but theres a lady at the same chemist as me that only has the chicken soup.
I aslo hated the flapjacks but i guess youve gotta try them. Just get one of each to try.
Have you got any spare shakes? That way you could have a little try of the others and if you dont like them then you can have a shake instead x

The flap jacks are foul

the chicken soup is nice, I only have chocolate and chicken for tea...
A hot meal is nice,

but

mix the soup with more water, I do mine with about 400ml
I did do my first one with the 250ml and didn't likd it

does it taste like chicken soup yes I think so. Chicken and stuffing I would say.
Do not smell it to much, the smell of it while cooking puts me off but when it's done yum

I cannot do without my soup for tea...

I hate to go against the majority but Im a huge fan of the coconut flapjacks! The first time I ate one it took me 30 mins and a lot of determination and water and nibbling. I persevered because I felt I needed something solid to eat every day and now I can honestly say I enjoy them! They don't taste of very much, the peanut ones have more flavour which is why I don't eat them, I prefer the bland.

I make the soup up with 225 mls of hot water and it tastes scrummy... Maybe I'm just weird though? ^.^

Step away from the flapjack!

I'm with most people i'm afraid. i don't mind the chicken soup but i do make it with a little extra water than normal.

I plucked up the courage to try a Peanut Flapjack and wished that i'd hadn't it was awful the only way i described it was as a nutty turd (and i still stand by that too! lol). I haven't actully been brave enough to try the coconut one since that.

But as with everything it's all down to individual taste, so you might love the flapjacks and hate the soup. lol.

Let us know how you get on.
Cath.

I like it!!

I quite like the peanut flapjack i have one most days i find them really handy when ur out an about! As for the soup i liked it for the 1st few weeks and for some reason i went off it but i think i burned it a bit an it put me off, it kinda tastes like chicken cup a soup.

Try them both u may be glad of the change and I was able to exchange any of the shakes that i didn't like, my chemist is local so it was no biggie for me!!

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the helpful comments. I went back to the chemist today to get another weeks supply. I asked for only 3 chicken soup to try for a start, the chemist woman was hilarious..she hates the chicken soup and was so reluctant to give me any. On the other hand I said I didn't want any flapjacks at all and she made me taste one and all I can say is :yuk:. The actual smell of it turned my stomach and I must have gone white when I tasted it cus she reached straight for the bin and put it in front of me. It was truly the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted in my life....it tasted to me like what I imagine horse poo would taste like..not that I spend a lot of time imagining things like that :D. Isn't it funny how everyone has such different tastes?!

Anyway, thank you all for your advice, x..I'll let you know how I get on with the soup tonight :cross:

lol Ella..... Good luck with the soup.. Make sure you let us know (if only so we can laugh!! lol) x x x

Drum roll........I loved the chicken soup!!!!!! I made it as suggested here with around 400mls of boiled water and I actually loved it. Now, in fairness, I drank it down fairly fast as I didn't want to imagine what it would be like cold but to me it really did taste like cup-a-soup chicken. I think I'll actually look forward to it tomorrow..

In other news..I'm still getting moments of aftertaste from that horrid horrid flapjack...I fear I will never forget it ;)

Glad you found something you can sort-of enjoy Ella x x x

My pharmacist didnt reccomend the chicken but said the vanilla was her fave, so i didnt take any chicken and took loads of vanilla. I dont like the vanilla so im going to try the chicken i think, i think we might have different tastes! how big are the flapjacks? i imagine they dont fill you as much as the shakes x

I think the flapjacks are a bit of an acquired taste. I like the peanut one, and have one most days for lunch with a cup of black coffee. I like the chicken soup too, but tend not to have it as one savoury is enough for me. I like to then have strawberry shake for breakfast and choc pack either as a shake or mousse for tea :)

xx

Thanks, i guess there is no harm in trying one, im def going to try the soup. I think it will be nice to have something warm. Im deffinately more of a sweet toothed person so wont go over board though. Really enjoyed choc shake icecream last night nom nom xxx

I have officially become addicted to the chicken soup!!! I blend it with 400mls of boiling water. It is so filling, I almost feel like I'm overeating. I wouldn't like to try it thicker though with less water, I can't imagine it would taste at all nice if it was thick. I'm off to the chemist to exchange all my strawberry packs for chicken soup ones! :)

Wish my chemist wasnt so far away :( i would go and exchange my vanilla for Chicken x
