Hi Guys,

Im new to here and new to orlistat. I've been taking orlistat now for 9 days and there has been no change in weight. I would have thought my diet alone would have resulted in a weight loss. I follow a really low fat diet and had no sneaky bits of food I shouldn't. I had no side effects and just don't think it effects me in anyway. I feel so disheartened and fatter than ever . I look forward to ur advice. Thank you sooooo much xxxxxxxx

Hi hun, you are aware of the 'rules' arent you? no more than 5g per 100g?

i think you should read the sticky information at the start of this section it will really help you! :)

what about your calories?are you eating too much or too less? ive had a recent calorie battle but,im sorted now.

try my fitness pal for additional help :)

what are you eating roughly? are you taking your tablet properly? are drinking plenty of water?

good luck and keep going, you can do it!:)

have you measured yourself?take measurements and keep an eye on them as sometimes we loose inches and not or little pounds..are you exercising too?

Oh thanx 4 ur reply hun.

A typical day for me food wise is -

brekkie - one sachet of original oat-so-simple (made half milk and water) sprinkled with a bit of sweetner.

lunch - tesco egg and tomato sandwich, low fat yog, banana, necterine, apple

dinner - rice, oven roasted veg and chicken.

supper - orange

Is this ok? its nothing like what I was eating before.

I increased my water dramatically to about 2litres but i wasn't having any before.

I really struggle with excerise, I work everyday, have 3 young children and my husband has a heart condition and is waiting for a pacemaker. I'm not making excuses but there just isn't enough time. Is that what is letting me down? I am longing so much to be thinner and the goal seems impossible to reach xxxxxxxx

Hi hun, do you definitely understand the rules?

ive just checked your sarnie from tesco, and its out of the rules.

your oats so simple is too (however a lot of people here do have it) im very strict with myself and i have to stict to the rules like glue,if i slip and go over, even if its a bit then its not good for my mindset.

the rest of the food looks fine hun,but i just want to make sure you know the rules properly and understand it, i didnt at first and it took me a while to get to grips with it.

it may be worth you using my fitness pal,its a good site and you can track your food, fat, cals etc..ive been using it properly for the last week and half and its helped me a lot.:)

i think weight loss and exercise go hand in hand and is the secret to healthy weight loss..
i understand that youre very busy (i have 2 kids,1 has a bone problem and im single, and ive got joint problems) i understand your busy and i know about how time goes but, i think it would help you to even try 15 mins a day, just a little walk or do 15 mins of a dvd or something, because even though its little it would help, and i think its important that you have that time for you too. :)

i think you should definitely measure yourself though, jot it down then measure again on your weigh in day, see if youre loosing inches.

in no way do i think youre letting yourself down, youre doing a fab job,and now your helping yourself and you should be proud of that!

you can do it!...just keep at it,going strong and keep posting :)

hi....
my fitness pal is great.. check it out..

are your evening portion sizes going to the large size.. that was a big thing for me. is eating too much...try and cut down a little ..

chin up, and make sure that you get a little you time to chill... stress isnt great for weightloss, and can stop you from losing weight no matter what you do.

keep at it....
