Syn help please - bread

Hiya

I would like to have 2 slices of wholemeal bread from a 800g load, can I use it a HEB with syn's added and if so how many syn's would that be? Thanks for your help xx Boo xx

Hello.

You can use 1 slice of wholemeal from a 800g loaf as 1 HEXb and then add 6 syns for the other slice.

Ah but a slice of bread is not 6 syns so you would be diddling yourself - you are allowed 57g of bread for a HE so weigh the two slices and work out the syns based on the extra

I would do the same - just syn anything over 57grams. I think I worked out once that Hovis was a HexB plus 4 syns (but please check!)
