No breakfast is good for you?

Ummm. I have to admit that I put less importance on breakfast these days.

Once upon a time, I would never have missed it. Everything I read led me to think that it was the most important meal of the day.

These days though, I often miss it. It all depends if I want one or not. And yes...I do ask myself, so sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

One thing I have noticed though. When I have breakfast, I eat more throughout the day. It seems to set me into eating mode to a certain extent. I am also more inclined to crave foods after brekkie unless I'm at work.

On the other hand, if I don't eat breakfast, I rarely crave, and I can potter along until I feel hungry....almost like a normal person:eek:

I do feel more energised without breakfast. Quite the opposite to what the books say.

I know exactly what you mean KD!! When I eat it is like poking a hunger snake!

My daughter calls it 'waking the beast'!

I find Juddd completely managable if I don't eat until lunchtime. The earlier I start the more I eat! That is definate!

Kind of goes against everything your mother ever told you. Interesting though, I might give it a try.

I exercise 6 mornings a week (between 7 and 8am) and so eat about an hour after that, because I had read somewhere that exercising when your body has no 'food' left in it will boost your metabolism and encourage your body to carry running at this higher level.
I make a point of eating protein with EVERY meal as this too has been shown to be beneficial in controlling the fat stored in the body.... and, for me at least, it keeps the binge monster sedated!
