Went clothes shopping for the first time in ages

And actually had a good time, first time Ive actually enjoyed shopping for clothes in god knows how many years. This time in May of this year, I couldnt fit into some of my size 18 clothes... jackets and coats were normally needed in a 20 to get them done up and even then it was tight so I was probably a size 20-22, although I would swear blind I wasnt bigger then a 18!

Well today I bought two pairs of jeans, one was a 16 and the other was a 14 which was a tiny bit tight but the 16 was too big but the 14 did up there just wasnt much room. Got two jackets, again one in 16 and one in 14! And a new pair of suit trousers in a 16 which were a tiny bit loose but the 14 was just too tight.

So ive lost just over 2 stone and gone from a 20-22 to a 14-16, with another 4 stone wanted to lose, so maybe I will make a size 10!

Thanks all! Im only buying a few bits because Ive still got a long way to go, so dont want to waste money on clothes I (hopefully) wont fit into for very long. I think I'm going to treat myself to a few new things for the next two stone as well because I found that after 2 stone lost, clothes started to literally fall off me

I'm a man who hates clothes shopping and even I enjoyed trying stuff on that had some kind of fit to it rather than just buying baggy stretchy stuff to hide my increasing weight.

I'm currently fitting into old clothes that I kept in the wardrobe more in hope than expectation and am keeping to relatgively cheap items until I know where I'm going to end up. Currently my shoulders have probably got to their final size, chest is a bit big and so is the waistline, so some clothes I try on look a bit odd!

I know what you mean Tim, Im quite lucky where the weights coming off pretty even at the moment.

I managed to get into a dress thats been in my wardrobe for about 2 years... which Ive never managed to get into! I need to lose a bit more so it fits better as its high waisted with a button blouse on the top and the buttons gape a bit but hopefully it will fit perfectly in a couple of weeks, Im just happy I can actually get it on at long last!!

I found a pair of shorts in the wardrobe that I bought when I burst out of previous ones at the end of last summer. I probably wore them twice. They now fall down on their own and I'm too small for the ones I didn't fit into!

Shorts shopping required next spring!

What should I do with the huge shorts? I shouldn't really keep them. Car boot?
