All cooked out.....

First thing this morning I made about a gallon of passata as I'd been given a tray of over-ripe tomatoes then this afternoon I have made 3 shepherds pies, 8 portions of chilli and the same of spag boll.....all of which are cooling ready to go in the freezer.

Now here's the crux.....I did all of this without taking a single taste not even licking my fingers! I hope it all tastes ok?

How does everyone else cope with cooking when unable to taste anything for seasoning, flavour etc?

Get it in a packet already done, so all i have to do is reheat it!! lol

I haven't cooked a thing since starting on LT.. That is Joe's job now..... You must have immense determination Lady Chuckle.... Well done you x x x

Hi SandraB

Oooo I just went by the smells...it kinda 'filled' me up, gave me that 'satisfied' 'full' feeling....well, not really, but I love food so it was nice to still be around it. Ha ha!:eat:

Wow you are organised! I hate the fact I can't taste the food for seasoning as I would be so embarrassed if it tasted awful and I made it for my boyfriend! lol I just rely on comments that it tastes ok! lol
Get the kids to taste it too!

you are so good doing that!!!! i live alone and bare cupboards so no such temptation... that is seriously cool though not even finger licking to taste! x

Good on ya, I don't ever taste my food when I am cooking. But have found that I enjoy cooking so much more when doing the diet I don't know why. Normally I hate making dinner with a passion, but Mark has cooked only twice since I have been back on.

I am cooking a massive lasagne tonight as mum and dad need feeding because they are having the heating done, so the house is a mess.

I am going to have a shower while they all eat cos its one of my faves, good thing is with dad around there is no chance of leftovers for me to pick at lol

Gosh, well done you! I don't think I could manage to do that. I generally do all my cooking for the family from scratch, but hubby has taken over those duties for him and the boys since I started Lipotrim. I've managed to get my head around making non smelly foods, ie. packed lunches, cereal, etc. and did manage to make them scrambled egg on wholemeal toast (they had cooked meal at school) for tea tonight and didn't let a morsel pass my lips. It was really hard though. That was the very first time I've cooked though in 3 weeks! I miss cooking (and eating!) xx

I tend to get my fella to eat the things i fancy lol that way when i smell it i feel like ive had some :)
Cant say ive ever been tempted to have a sneeky lick lol im doing well :)

Oh and thanks Jayne33..... All night ive been batteling with my brain about scrambled eggs and thought id finally got over that till you mentioned it lol :) I really could kill someone for scrambled egg tonight, its not something i would normally eat either, strange!

Well he's been eating my cooking for nearly 20 years so I don't need to impress!

Apparently the shepherds pie was wonderful.......
