I have been on SW doing it from home since January, i know what to do and how to lose the weight and at one point i had lost 1 stone.

However at the moment i just cannot do a full week of sticking to plan, in the week i am brilliant as soon as the weekend comes i am rubbish and blow all my hard work.

I know there is only 13 weeks to Christmas and i really want to lose a stone, any inspiration or help would be great. I want to do this, but i cant seem to stick to it and also i know i need to exercise but i cant get seem to make myself.

Please help x

I struggle a bit with weekends too. Perhaps you could join us on the Sunday weigh-in thread. I think I am less likely to go mad on a Saturday if I am weighing on a Sunday.

And get one of Brittany's Christmas tree motivators! Can you visualise what you will be doing at Christmas time? What will you be wearing and how gorgeous will you look?

Thanks weighing in on a Sunday does sound a good idea, at present i weigh in on a Saturday and then normally feel terrible so eat rubbish and drink lots, if i dont weigh till Sunday maybe that will stop me doing this. Good Idea.

With regards to where i want to be, i know exactly we have a christmas party with work planned for the day before xmas eve and i want to be able to get in a slinky 14 and be 10 stone. I will focus on this more, and print the christmas tree off for my fridge.

Thanks hopefully this will help

Have you tried having your syns on a weekly basis, that way you can have lots of nice synful treats at the weekend & still stay within plan?

MiL comes round on a Saturday night with wine & chocs & last night wasn't too bad I only had 45syns:rolleyes: but it still leaves me with enough for a small glass of wine in the eves before my next WI.

Keep a very truthful food diary on here and if you mess up, someone will be watching. So you won't want to mess up again!

Is there any way you could join a group, just for that extra bit of motivation? You could buy a countdown and hope it helps, maybe a real support group would make you want to stick to plan. I'm finding it hard sticking for seven days aswell, wanting to change groups but I don't think there are any other convenient ones... If you can go to one, I would say you should, it will probably help xxx

Hi teresa- I've been a bit stuck recently too- don't seem to be able to go 2 weeks in a row being 'good' and have lost and gained teh same 3.5Ib for about 2 months now. Starting to get very frustrated with myself :p Anyhoos, I'm just trying to take it one day at a time, but I have been trying to have syns over a week then if I do go over 15 I can make up for it by having less another.. so far so good. Good luck for rest of week :)

Try planning your meals for the week, breakfast, lunch, dinner and pudding. Get creative with meal ideas so you don't get bored. This is what i have pinned up on the kitchen cupboard every week,http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world/165322-weekly-meal-ideas.html#post2768594 and then just have to follow it. I try to make sure we dont have the same evening meal 2 weeks running and get searching the cookbooks and internet for meal ideas that can be SW adapted.
I dont really have a weekend as such as i work on saturdays. So for me everyday is the same from a food point of view.

The weekly syns will work better if you feel that the weekends mean you use more syns then.

You can do it :)

Some great ideas, thank you all. I am now planning weeks menu so hopefully that will help and the syns i am going to count down so fingers crossed.

However if this doesnt work maybe a class again. The reason i stopped going was i didnt feel the one i was attending was very good at motivating me and the consultant would just talk about how much everyone had lost rather than giving ideas and talking to individuals so i found it a waste of money. Maybe i should give it a shot again.

I can struggle on weekends but what I try to do is make my food a little more "special" so we'll have a lovely piece of steak with a peppercorn sauce and I'll make SW chips and do some frylighted onions, or I'll do curry night - make a great SW curry with some fragrant rice and some bombay potatoes. Served with a mini naan and a couple of poppadoms for 10 syns total and it feels so indulgent.

I use my syns daily so if we have the steak and chips then I'll have a bag of maltesers later on, or I'll save an A and B choice and have cheese and ryvita.

Make your food exciting and you shouldn't struggle on a weekend.

Going to group is very motivational for me but once out of the door the consultant and group isn't there, so it's down to us to keep that motivation going.
