1) have one and have what you like really enjoy it then get back on the plan the next day

2) have one but adapt it to make it as slimming world friendly as poss e,g have indian and have chicken tikka pieces on red - what kind of things are better to have?

3)cook your own slimming world version at home - any ideas for this welcome lol

4)avoid like the plague

:banana dancer: this smiley doesnt really have a point i just think its really funny (shameful!)

Number two for me, but really, number 3 or 4 are best

I would usually have one but try to moderate it a bit... although sometimes this has a bad result and just makes me want it more which makes me pig out >_<

4 for me.

I cook a SW version, but if I really want a proper one, I'll have one. Chicken Chow Mein is my favourite, and it's under 10 syns so that's good enough for me!

Ditto.... I'm with Zoot but I'd have a Prawn Chow Mein! :D x

2 or 3 for me usually, depends on my mood! God I love syns!

Generally 2, I have a chicken chow mein but also do 3. My logic is that this is for life and the syns are there to accomodate things like takeaway. I've got a lot to lose and am more likely to stick to it if I can have a takeaway when others do, have a skinny latte and mini muffin in Costa's etc.

Dont really do takeaway as such, but if the kids are having a chippy night cos i have worked late i will have boiled rice from the chippy with a bit of chippy gravy. Not so bad on syns( gravy) and feels naughty :)

2 definitely! I still have a takeaway each weekend and have lost every week since being on the plan. I've moderated in that I don't have naan bread with indian or spring rolls with chinese, apart from that though it's really not that syn-ful - a veggie curry, rice and a veg side dish comes in around 15 syns. I have syns weekly so am also able to have a couple of beers or a glass of wine with it. It's all about making sensible choices and not feeling deprived. Personally, knowing I can have takeaway night at the weekend helps me keep going during the week!

Well I think I've possibly learnt my lesson here...
OH and I had a small cheap take out last night because neither of us could be bothered cooking and lucky me has been up all night ill from it!
So I'm re-thinking my answer to 3 or 4 now.. :(
It did taste really nice at the time though >_> heh

I'll have a takeaway but try and choose the better options from it, so I'll have a lamb or chicken rogan josh with boiled rice for an Indian, or Beef with black bean sauce and green peppers with boiled rice from the Chinese!!

2 for me or I will sometimes make my own version if just me & hubby at home wanting that type meal but not fussed about take away version - if that makes sence!! haha

Last night was the first night I've REALLY wanted a takeaway in the six weeks I've been doing SW.Instead of caving I grabbed every recipe book I owned and managed to find a few dishes to cook.
I made grilled tiger prawns on skewers and a plate of skinless tandoori chicken legs with fresh salad to start. Then I did a veg curry dish with a yum chicken curry and pilau rice.It was delicious and best of all FREE which meant we could have two glasses of white wine each with our meal.
Will try a home made chinese next weekend:p

Usually I'd just get the takeaway but now I'd do my wn.
My favourite takeaway is chicken tikka kebab with chips and salad.
Completely SW friendly if you use a wholemeal pitta, make your own chicken tikka and make SW chips!
