Quick, help... advice needed about an MRI scan

Hi all

I'm a size 24/26 and i've got to go for an MRI scan on Monday. It is a closed in one... im so nervous, not because of being closed in, im scared that I WON'T FIT!! Any larger ladies out there had an MRI scan, what if I don't fit :S are they big enough do you think :/

I've never had one but I'm sure that you'll fit, whoever referred you for the scan wouldn't have done so if they had thought that you wouldn't. I know how you feel though, and I would've felt the same when I was bigger. Try not to stress yourself out too much.

I hope it all goes OK, let us know afterwards won't you? Hopefully someone else will come along on here soon who'll be able to put your mind at rest.

my husband had an MRI some back. He is 6' 7", and at the time 23st, and there was no probs. You will be ok, as Eternity said, the referral wouldn't have happened if there is going to be an issue.

Thank you both!! I had it today because I was experiancing some discomfort over night and they thought they'd bring it forward. It was a cozy fit - but it was fine Phewww.. was so nervous - i'd read about someone who got told to use a scanner at a Zoo as the normal ones were not big enough. How sad
